There is NO WAY you are terrified anymore than I was!!!! The only thing I felt was the IV going on my hand. Other than that the only bad part was starving for 2 days 😂. Don’t worry! I have a few doubts about this video. My doctors said absolutely no milk, no ice cream, no yogurt, absolutely no fruits with skin on (such as peaches !) yet this video says it's ok ... I'd rather go with my doctor's instructions about that, but other than that, not bad this video.
My doctor said milk yoghurt without sugar or fruit, sour cream, vanilla ice cream, are all OK for white diet. How can you have corn flakes , rice bubbles without milk. I've had colonoscopy at different clinics and doctors all gave me same advice. I don't know why your doctor advised you differently?
Going in Thursday morning (two days from now) and I flipped out because I ate a rice cake with cream cheese and an egg on top. Turns out that was a good choice. It's going to be difficult trying to remember what I can and can't eat. Just looking forward to getting it done and over with.
Thank you for this video, my colonoscopy is approaching Dec 5th at 9:30. I just want to get it over, I have anxiety about drinking the prep solution, getting it down and keeping it down. I've never been a person to consume lots of liquid wheter its juice or water. Def going to try these tips hard candy or ginger ale and will be asking the Lord help me.
im the same way. i will gag if i drink too much (of anything) but i bought a big thing of ginger ale and mixed the miralax in the ginger ale n got it cold n poured it into a glass and sipped all day and it wasn’t bad. im assuming ur drinking miralax and not the “go lightly”
@chellebelle1970 hi I did my colonoscopy back in Dec. Yes I took the 2-3 Ducolax each time and 2 bottles of MiraLax. One bottle prep with Gatorade and then next bottle prep with lemonade. The lemonade was so much better. It worked well, too. I started the prep a day before my colonoscopy I wanted to be sure it worked and I would be clean enough, and I was clean. They removed 2 polyps, and everything went well and I return in 5 years. I did get lightheaded and fell when I came home, but I know that was from fasting for the colonoscopy bc I started the MiraLax the entire day before my scope.

Fair enough Dr Wiransinghe. It was produced in conjunction with gastroenterologists for their patients. Having said that we are in the process of updating it. We are going to provide more specificity and one of the gastros is going to narrate it. If you have any suggestions that would be great. It might help us produce something that is more useful to you and hopefully other people.

The only tough part for me was going to the toilet 30-45 times. Get Tucks are baby wipes (do not flush in toilet) to make your bottom feel better.

Citrus fruit has pulp, I would avoid it.
This video is helpful, but I take oxycodone and oxycotin for advance, plus numerous other meds, what do I do about all those meds

Recommended foods are horrible for those of us who are on a keto diet. I am on keto to control my blood sugar as I was pre-diabetic.
