I was born on D Day (6/6/1944 making me 74 and I too have never, ever heard a voice like this. It’s stunning and makes me emotional every time I listen to him.

I have been listening to Damash for a few years and there just isn’t enough colourful words to describe the music that flows. From within him. He can have you crying one minute and ready to rumble the ne xt. His voice of velvet also houses sounds of crystals. He sings like the doves and roars like tiger. Those high notes have no limit, they just keep going up ,soaring thru the Je a silver bird. I’ve never seen so much talent in one so young. Greetings from Afghanistan, I have watched most of Dimash’s performances even if I didn’t understand the meaning of some of his songs, but I can’t explain how I feel after listening to each one of them.
Simply he is the best in the world without doubt.

Именно творит! Да, там есть репетиции, тщательная отработка каждой строки, каждого слова... Но когда он выходит на сцену, начинается божественный, таинственный , непостижимый уму процесс творчества! Он совсем не такой, как у других певцов и артистов! Мы всё видим, Димаш перед нами, мы любуемся, сопереживаем, участвуем в этом акте творчества! I am Japanese and I know the original song (lyrics) of this by Koji Tamaki. This Chinese version, to me, is the response to the original song by Koji Tamaki. This November, my dear friend sent his wife back to heaven. They have been a perfect couple.
I could see he was just happy to feel her warmth in each morning of her last days and cherished every moment with her and wished her not to leave him forever, and that was his only wish, just like the original.
And just like this version of this song, she, I know that, she was strong woman and she was ready to go back to god, but I can't imagine how hard that would have been for her to leave him alone down here knowing his sorrow. And I am sure they had unspoken promises to remember. I want to dedicate this song to them, and make sure he doesn't forget the unspoken promise with her- live strong and be happy and keep her memory forever-, but it may take some time... Beautifully done by Dimash, so beautiful that this is more than just entertainment, this is almost like my prayers. Thank you Gloria for the beautiful translation.
Sushiyrolls Dimash doesn't convey the emotion of this song. Kinda stoic and rigid in delivery, maybe too eager to show off his vocal than respect for the song. The original version, Koji Tamaki sing it like he is going to cry, in deep sadness in compatible with the lyric of the song with his subtle, broad and light voice making it almost angelic. No version still able to top Tamaki's, even king of Asia pop, Jacky Cheung fall far from it.

Florian Felice I don't know much about this song and music in general, so this is just a theory, please correct me if I'm wrong.
I think that might be because he learned this song in a short amount of time, he's trying his best to not make mistakes or singing the wrong verse and his high notes + vocal dynamics are a way for him to convey his feelings since he doesn't speak the audience's language.
P.S. I can feel the emotion from him, but that's probably because I've never heard of the orginal version before, peace ✌
Florian Felice, this is a competition, what you wanted him to just do the original version? And I really cried and felt every word he was singing, this is his way of expressing his deep feeling, by taking high notes, and etc. if you did not get it, please don’t just judge people for their expressions that you don’t like.. Everyone has his own vision of performance.

The more I hear of this guy the more stunned I become.....if you don't understand what I mean, just take a look at the individual faces in the audience when he sings. Dimash is magical....he has that secret ingredient that all performers strive for (and seldom achieve). Let's hope he carries on in this vein...my advice to him is "don't change too much" ; you are close to perfection already.

В ютубе сейчас полно реакций, которые делают и выкладывают разные люди на те или иные песни, исполнителей. Абсолютное большинство из них постановочные, где эмоции и поведение реакционеров, скажем мягко, выглядят не совсем естественно. И это понятно, ведь их делают для хайпа, чтобы как-то пропиариться. Мне больше всего на этом конкурсе не просто понравилась, а поразила реакция китайских зрителей и особенно, китайских участников конкурса! Абсолютная естественность, искренность и нескрываемые эмоции! А еще настоящая , не напускная доброжелательность к соперникам по конкурсу. Эту песню я слышал раньше в исполнении Кодзи Томаки и когда увидел, что Димаш на нее замахнулся, думал, что будет катастрофа. Димаш на деле доказал, что можно гениальное исполнение одним певцом, дополнить совершенно другим, не менее гениальным исполнением! Глупо их сравнивать, каждый из них рассказал эту грустную историю по своему, но оба красиво и печально! Остается только сказать: БРАВО ДИМАШ!
