Some tips for dyeing with natural products is to pre-wash your fabric the night before (as they may contain some form of starch) and soaking the fabric in alum for at least 1 hr (the alum helps the fabric retain the color....there are formulas online to know how much alum to use)

I was hoping that you would re create one of those ceramic bowls! 🙌🏼 I just made one a couple weeks ago.. doesn't look nearly as good as yours.. but I love it! 🥰
For those clay basket bowls, they will be a lot more durable if you use your aluminum armature wire inside of the clay ropes. You can bake it with the wire inside and you'll never see the wire since it's completely covered by clay. Using metal as the base for sculpey items is cheaper and lighter weight than solid sculpey. Anytime I make larger items from sculpey I make the basic shape with wadded up tinfoil first and then cover it in sculpey.

I love the tie dye pillow cases, very subtle, I hope soaking the cases first was enough to remove the dressing from the material otherwise your dye may not hold up to a proper wash. The lampshade is a big success. Takes me back to the 70's when I was an impoverished student nurse. Yes I am that old, but not too old to appreciate your style and talent

I am mind-blown! These are incredible DIYs! The black metal leaf decor and lamp shade are spectacular.
Maybe, for a stronger “ceramic” bowl you could cover a $ tree wire hanging planter with the Sculpty and do the rest just as you have done.
Or put the sculpt around a bowl made from the wire he used for the leaves
The avo pillow cases are awesome! To get the colour into the water quicker, grate the pits and do the same thing. Love your videos Drew!

I love the tie dye pillow cases, very subtle, I hope soaking the cases first was enough to remove the dressing from the material otherwise your dye may not hold up to a proper wash. The lampshade is a big success. Takes me back to the 70's when I was an impoverished student nurse. Yes I am that old, but not too old to appreciate your style and talent
I think the real show shopper here is how beautifully you style the items. Your eye for the final look is definitely noticeable.

The *aluminum leaf sculpture project* would be perfect to for easy holiday decor! Christmas trees, menorahs, easter bunnies, hearts, four leaf clovers, pumpkins, cornucopias, striped stars (Stars and Stripes 2.0)... Maybe with different spray paint colors if ya wanna spice things up a little bit!

For the ceramic bowl, you could also use a plant hanger covered it clay so it’s stronger, or just cover in twine or something!!

I like the lamp the most. So much more could be added to the basic lamp, such as glass or wooden beads. Maybe even take the jute string & weave some around horizontally. Thanks for sharing.
