Nice one! Just bought a new boat with one of these Mercury 60hp's, my first ever 4-stroke outboard. I've also found that just as in your video, a full-throttle hole shot produces the same results; a little lacking in torque & punch at first when compared to my old 2 cylinder 737cc Evinrude 55hp 2-stroke when you shove the throttle all the way forward to the stop, however once you build the revs up past 4000prm and adjust the trim the power on these 4-stroke, 1-litre inline four's then just suddenly comes on line all at once and then surges on all the way up to redline.

What has sold me on these EFI 4-strokes is the smooth, quiet running at lower RPMs and accompanying low fuel burn; the exact opposite of the smokey, spluttery, thirsty old pre-mix 2-strokes of old that were only ever really happy when running at three-quarters throttle plus.

My Mercury 40 HP pushes my 15 foot to 64KM . I can’t imagine what that 60 would do on mine ! 😮
Wat verbruikt zon motor op deze boot ? En heb je tijdens dit filmpje antifouling op je boot ? Dit beperkt nogal wat snelheid
Ongeveer 3000 rpm 6L/uur 4000 rpm 10L/uur, er is een site waar je het verbruik kan zien van verschillende motoren www.boat-fuel-economy.com/verbruik-buitenboordmotor-mercury en er zat anti fouling wat beetje de snelheid kan beperken, maar dikke aangroei beperkt het ook zeker

@@Bullman_Racing_Team ik heb zelf prins 475 gekocht uit 2022 Met 60pk suzuki 2021.. hoe krijg ik meeste snelheid uit deze set standaard schroef of andere pitch schroef heb jij idee?
@@devinhoevers5793 kijk eerst hoeveel toerental je motor Max mag draaien, bij deze merc is dat tussen 6100-6200 rpm
Ik heb een 13pitch 4 blad propeller achter Een QuickSilver 505 Max 6050 rpm, (1persoon) 600 kg ex motor, 1 pitch hoger of lager is ongeveer 200 toeren meer of minder, dus bij een 12 pitch schroef zal je sneller op trekken en meer toeren maken met ongeveer 200 rpm meer,
I’m 200 LB. Do you think that, that motor will pull my size water skier out of the water? I have a 17 foot boat, similar to that set up.

Hi, I have same engine and on 6200 RPM I am loosing grip. Prop is speed fire. Trim is down.
Looking at upgrading my older model 16.5ft Crestliner Fishhawk which currently has a 50hp merc 2 stroke. Any guess for top speed with a 60hp EFI?
Similar. Maybe 2 mph gain. All depends on prop.
Depending on Prop, I would guess 32-33 mph.

I have 16.5 ft side console fisher angler with a 92 60 hp merc and I hit same speeds 52 ish kms

I bought 60 hp. but my friends said why didn't you buy japanese (yamaha-honda-suzuki or tohatsu). Mercury 40/50/60 is produced in China and they said it is of poor quality. what are you thinking? Did I buy the wrong engine😢
I think they are very good beautiful engines, don't worry about that, I have had few problems in the past 10 years with this type of Mercury
I replace the solenoid valve every 10 years, it broke, but that's all
I have one and it has close to 500 hours on it and its still like new. Just because its made in China does not mean its junk.

@@Bullman_Racing_Team i have a 700kg boat and was thinking 60hp isn't enough. Has this had work done to get it moving this well. 60hp might puch my boat along well enough after seeing this
@@simdogg86 hello, this was a rental boat, at home I have a QuickSilver 505 commander 600 kg with Mercury 60 HP Spitfire 4 blade propeller, (see my other videos) QuickSilver is quite a heavy boat, recommended I would recommend a minimum of 80 HP behind a QuickSilver of 600 kilograms
