Isshh! That's a hard one... I know the BMFL is quite easy to take appart and work on, haven't had the chance to strip down a Scenius yet... So far I'll say BMFL, but until I work some more on some Scenius I can't really decide :)
i can't see why this kind of heads should cost 11500 dollars, because except from the 1400w light, it does the same shit as a 1500 up to 2500 dollar head. Ow maintaining them is way easier than als the other brands out there but easy acces isn't worth 10k extra ,and for that money you can buy 4 up to 6 other heads that are just as good.
Professional moving heads are massively over priced. The only reason the manufacturers get away with it is because the people who use the products never actually have to pay for them, they insist on top stuff and won't use anything else. So the rental houses have to foot the bill. As far as actual material and man hour cost, these fixtures should sell for around $2500 tops. There's only about $800 worth of products in a moving head like this, so the rest is all profit. They've got away with the insane over priced products in the lighting industry for a long time, but now china is pumping out knock off Sharpys and other movers for $200 a piece.
Because professional TV installations, concerts, big tours rental has big budget. When a production has 7 trucks of materials for an artist tournè you can imagine why they can spend so much money for the best light in the market. Professional lights are no compromise things.
meu sonho tem um desses
