@@xGusth I understand completely what you are saying. The R36S is a copy of the RG353V and also a copy of the RGB20. But the reason why people call the new devices “clones” is because the clones are exactly 1:1 copies. The only thing that sets them apart is the operating system they are using and some parts that differ from the ones on the original R36S. If you place an R36S next to an RG353V or an RGB20 they don’t look exactly identical. The two on my video do. But I understand completely what you are saying. Another user also brought up the fact that this device is based on open source so anybody could make a copy with whatever operating system they choose. When you visit a store in AliExpress and they offer this device, they are not specifically telling you that it runs on ArkOS. They mention a “Linux” system which it’s true for both ArkOS and EmuELEC. @ only if you install EmuELEC 4.8 test. I’ll try to get you a link to it. I installed it and the “PORTS” worked. And you have to have the clone that comes with the RK3326 CPU. If you have the one with the RK3128, that device is worthless.
From what I read online, the factory that manufactures the original R36S is not the one manufacturing the fake one. They claim that they are trying their best to stop it but there isn’t really anything they can do with the project being an open source device. What I don’t like is that this other factory is copying the body of the R36S but the internal parts are from the Kinhank K36 and that is why you can install the CFW that works on the K36 on the fake unit and not ArkOS. If you try to install ArkOS on the fake device, the device will freeze and for some reason when you reinsert the original card that comes on the fake unit, it won’t boot right away. You have to start the system several times before it boots again which leads me to believe that some part of the OS is installed directly to the unit and not all on the SD card.

That’s a really good idea. But PS1 games run perfectly well on the R36S. PSP games are the ones that lag like crazy. You can’t play Saturn games either on the R36S. What I noticed is that both devices have same capabilities when it comes to running games. The main difference is optimization. You can’t change themes because you can’t install theme master. You can’t change scrape pictures because you can’t connect to the internet and even though when I connect the clone with an Ethernet cable to the usb c adapter and it shows a connection, the built in scraper doesn’t work. The only way I’ve been able to install themes and install pictures on the clone is by copying them from the R36S. @Ni5ei I'm not sure but yes I think so. I think they open up real r36s bodies and swap in different firmware inside?
@@Ni5ei The black one runs EmuELEC and the R36S runs ArkOS. I thought at first that it would be compatible so I did try to insert the Micro SD card from the R36S into the so called “Clone” and the power light didn’t even light up. As a matter of fact after I removed the ArkOS card from the clone and re inserted the original card, the unit didn’t want to turn on. I thought I had bricked the clone but I removed the card and inserted a couple of times and it worked again.
So the answer to your question is: the clone is not compatible with ArkOS.

Can you play 2 players with the fake one from temu and the real one from the original website and has more games
@@WahbieLOOWahbi I have not played any two player games on any of these devices so I can’t give you accurate information but I’ve heard you can play two player games with two devices running ArkOS or the so called original ones. I’m not sure if the EmuELEC will support two player games.
@16bitsorhigher Ok thanks for letting me know
Cool

Yo tengo una copia 😢 me estafaron
i have the og i love it play it every week for 35S just get a new sd card load your your fav roms and go
NO ARK OS Loading screen
If you don’t have the ArkOS loading screen then it’s possible it’s the EmuELEC version but I have also seen another version that has an even older OS that’s loaded directly on the unit and is not installed on the Micro SD card according to the people that have posted the pictures. It also has the a cheaper CPU RK3128. If you remove the Micro SD card what partitions do you see?
@16bitsorhigher i flash new ark os 2.0 update sep 23 2024 around 8gb. Using my samsung fold (etchdroid) new 32gb sandisc now have ark os loading screen🥰

I didn’t press any hotkeys. It looks like I’m doing that because I was holding the phone from moving to the left because I was using one hand to raise the volume. And I was using one hand because I was recording with the other hand. Lol!
