That feel when you drive home after work getting stuck in 2 hour traffic only to get stuck in more 2 hour traffic on your trucking game at your desk at home.
I used the north entrance to hannover the first time as soon the server opened. One and a half hour later, traffic was already building up, and then I used the south entrance throughtout the whole day. Much faster than any other route. But there was a worrying time where the south entrance was stacking up.
I think that is because the majority of the players there are normal people. Its not like in CD road when you face that crazy drivers that think they are playing a race car sim.
The horns i can deal with, it’s the people on the CB radio that annoy me the most. Somehow they can have mics that are loud enough to blow out a surround sound system.
I remember doing one in France years ago with the truck racing trailers, there was 2 ways I to the city back then, everyone took the short way in. I took the long way and was straight in and out everytime. It took 2 days for people to catch on to what I was doing

I'd recommend going up to Bremen, and then the A7 south towards Kassel, and use the last exit to Hannover, or going onto the US or SGP simulations for this event if you want to go TMP for it. Most people will be coming from Osnabrück because that's the Shortest route in distance

Nah... I would say when you see people and parents with children quing for over 20 hours in the night with tempuratures near freezing to look at a box with a dead billionaire inside it is the point you know humanity is a mess
I very much understand this, was on yesterday, had to wait about 45 minutes to get into Hanover (Because I was transporting materials on my own flatbed and was not actively doing it for the event), at this was at like 12:30am in the morning.
I remember being stuck for one hour and a half, one day, to get to Duisburg. Server 2, full, almost 1k people in the same city... promised myself I would never go to Duisburg ever again

Well, longest not. Calais Duisburg took around 4 hours in the time where we had more EU simulation servers, that were permanently full. Even before they startet with reworking the standart map
@@eggss2 drive to the europort at rotterdam, there were the first big traffic jams as truckersmp was relative new. Before the road Calais-Duisburg even exsisted. Amsterdam and Rotterdam were completely full. Was a time where scout cars weren't in game. Oh and don't start me with the non exsisten "no collision zones". Back then admins had to control traffic, it was a nightmare xD
Woah this is before they put a lot of barriers and everything, that’s weird to see, because idk when they did this but it had to of been recent because 3 days ago I went the same route as you and there are a lot of fences and a lot more stuff to control traffic.
this event was awesome, just stuck in traffic for 30 mins before moving, would take basically the same time here to get into the actual place, while also having a YT vid on miniplayer mode while waiting. wish they did more events like this
i was playing as well, i started at around 9 oclock (pm) thinking i could get it all done by 11, no. i only just got the first job completed at 11. people just keep pushing in.
Doing this event was fun however had to cancel 2 jobs someone rear ended me and sent me to no man's land and then I rear ended someone who crashed Into the barrier and was on mcdonalds wifi

one evening couple of days into the event i was on tmp there was message in the chat from tmp saying at least 3-4 hours to get into hanover as traffic was so bad

i remember when rotterdam was the traffic jam hot spot back in 2017 (kinda still is on a bad day) that was a fun 1 hour and 20 minutes when most of the admins was alseep for the night

Everybody was sitting for the 1st offramp, but why not going to the clover, skipping the ramp, going on the next one and then taking 3 rights , thus going like you came from the opposite side and would skip the first offramp, smh. It was like using the whole clover for a right turn, but seeing as there wasn't much use on the second way, why not

How do you deal with sim air brakes when in traffic and having to constantly use breaks? Everytime I hear the beep go due to low air pressure, I stress out...
If you have it sequential, use s to stop instead of a parking brake, but keep the truck in 1st and slightly tap w to have it engaged and play with s. This is at least what I do at stoplights to have the truck ready to pass the intersection before oncoming trucks come.
I would hop out of the truck and get a glance at what's ahead blocking everything up if I couldn't drive around it in the game. But Euro Truck doesn't let the player walk around unfortunately yet.
Once i was playing with 1 streamer this event and when i look to truckersmp map like on theyre website and when i saw these number of players jesus they were like 200 and something bro my game where always crashed
