thank you for sharing your holiday. I went to Lanzarote last November I had been many time but that was the first time in my chair and it always stressful hoping my chair gets there in one piece. we are going back on 12th November for 11 days and I can't wait. also I this it part of having a wheelchair to be used as a shopping trolly happens to me all the time.
As a full time wheelchair user, organising holidays is a nightmare sometimes. I can spend months looking at things to do and then seeing if they're accessible. I recently looked into going to Australia, and whilst most things I wanted to do looked accessible, the fear of my chair being broken by the airline put me off, there were lots of stories of it happening at the time.
I had heard the stories too! I’ve flown twice since this vlog and haven’t had a single problem with the way my chair has been handled. Hopefully hearing a positive story helps you feel better 🤞🏼
Wheelsnoheels recently did some videos about wheelchair travel to Australia, might be worth a look! And even though a broken chair is terrible don’t let it take the joy of traveling from you. You 100% deserve to travel and live no matter what.
@@Julia-en5ys Thanks, it's her videos that put the idea to go down under into my head. I've since bought a puppy and I don't fancy leaving him in a kennel for that long or have any friends willing to take him in as he's still a lively puppy. I took a previous dog to Cornwall and we all had a good time there so we might do that again, not as exotic as Australia though!
@@joemyers5302 Cornwall sounds fantastic too! And you have plenty to explore in Europe then, even if it might not be as fancy as Australia. Wish you the best with your future endeavors!
That looked like a young Carson Daly playing the sax! Did he play "Careless Whisper"? I hope that you had flan while you were in Spain! I hope there weren't any stereotypical obnoxious American tourists, commenting on how everything is written in "Mexican."
Absolute credit to you for getting on with your life! Very inspiring for someone who isn't reliant on a wheelchair. Thanks for sharing and very best wishes and success 😊
