I have been towing RV trailers since 1985. Good informative video for new small trailer owners. I now have a Square Drop similar to yours. The one piece of advice I learned by real life experience is when you doing your trailer and vehicle check (all systems in and out) DO NOT have conversations with neighbors, friends or family. Concentrate on task at hand because it is a easy distraction and you can miss something vital. Happy Camping!

Thank you for teaching us Newbies. Thank you for having true compassion for others, especially for strangers. Also, one aspect love is sharing knowledge. All the best to you and your family

Thanks for taking the time to do this video. I just bought my first teardrop trailer and this is a great refresher before I head out 👍

Thanks so much for these tips. Jim & I will be picking up our first tear drop camper next week. We found a 2021 Bushwacker Plus 15FK in VT. There are some good hills between VT and our farm in central NH! Our 2004 4x4 Tacoma has a factory hitch, but we are installing a manual electric brake system next week. We are trip ticking the easiest way home and I will be doing some of the driving. I'm a tad nervous, but not a fast driver and there is a break in the rainy weather on Thursday.
Our mechanic said we were fine to tow this teardrop. She is 1900lbs empty. Max 3000lbs. I will be following your channel with interest. Happy summer! ~ Diane

Great video. Just an FYI, you shouldn't fill your tires to the PSI on the sidewall. That's a max, not the suggested pressure.

Thanks for posting videos on the escapade,I find it very informative,Since I am considering buying one,I understand,The camper is fully insulated With some type of film ,Could you explain that to me,And if it is helpful in cold weather ,Since you do cold weather camping,I will continue watchingWhat you post,

Paul Guzzo Hi Paul, yes the camper is fully insulated with reflectix insulation. It holds in heat pretty well, but in a small camper like this you need to ventilate to keep moisture down. If it stays above freezing but is still cold, a couple of people and some warm bedding should be plenty.

I highly recommend going to www.etrailer.com and get the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller. I did it myself and it helped when we picked up our Escapade in a blizzard. It worked flawlessly
