Quality Gordon! The underwater footage is fascinating, brilliant water clarity. You‘lol have to break out the spinning rod the next time for the sea trout.
@@mtbsheepie7285 Thanks, aye the spinning rod would have been ideal that day wae a bombarda and a wee fly or redgill 👌🏻🎣🐟🐟🐟
Aye I Ken what the waters like in the winter bud I'm fae Dundee myself keep it up good work anyway and tight lines👍
Magic video, sea trout a wee bonus! The rubber eel was an Eddystone Eel, if I mind right.
@@bailienicoljarvie2878 Thanks for the feedback Gordon, much appreciated bud.
Aye I was trying tae mind the name o the eel lol this one is actually called a redgill even though it is white lol I bought a few of these redgills for bass 🎣🐟🐟🐟
@@kintakintyea I cannae mind what the Eddystone one was like, the name just stuck in my head!

@@Skinhead-201 Cheers mannie, aye jist a steens throw fae Saaneyn 👍🎣🐟🐟🐟
I have not sea fished for over 50 years, but I still do a bit of Loch fishing. When I fished away back in the 70s, the fish were much bigger then, Mackerel and sea bass were kept and taken home too eat, Yet I watch a few sea fishing video's and you all seem to put all your catches back even those good sized fish? I eat a lot of fish it is not cheap to buy these days, so that is why am surprised you guy's throwing your catch back too the sea.
@@alancarlyon340 Thanks for your comment Alan, aye back then we used to haul up very large Cod near the size of ourselves, 4 cod filled a fish box with only the heads in and tails over the edge, all these fish were just a stone’s throw from our shores, I myself love fish to eat and can live off fish alone it’s my favourite food, we catch loads of haddock off our boat so I am lucky that I always have plenty for eating, I sometimes take a bass home for the plate if it is big enough but most go back as I love the sport of fishing and it’s great to get out there wether you catch or no.
Tight lines buddy 🎣🐟🐟🐟🐟
Aye min Gordon fit lyke the day min anither gid days fishn hive tryed oot at Portsoy
@@garystewart2512 Nae bad Gary cheers freen, a hinna try’d Portsoy but it will be on the list at some point 👍🎣
@ Iv only fished in the summer fir the mackies I’m there a lot we the caravan
@@garystewart2512 Great stuff, lovley place tae go wae yer caravan and plenty fishing spots aroon 👍🎣🐟🐟🐟
Try using a brake away lead, rather than a griper.
@@NormanBruce-ec4ho Aye they are supposed tae be breakaway leads Norman but sometimes they dinna break away, I think I had the wires gripped too tight on them to be fair, you can bend the gripper wires a wee bittie so they break oot easyer.
I might have been ok with a standard lead that day but when using the longer rigs I like tae have them stay pretty much where I cast them as these fish well like that. Thanks for your comment buddy, tight lines ma freen 🎣🐟🐟🐟
