- This video provides a tutorial on Citric Acid Cycle. The cycle occurs in the mitochondria and there are total eight reactions. Acetyl-CoA enters the TCA cycle with two carbon atoms and leaves the cycle with two Co2. The electrons liberated through the oxidation of acetyl CoA reduce coenzymes to NADH and FADH2. The cycle also synthesises one molecule ATP through substrate-level phosphorylation. During, one round of TCA cycle, 3 NADH, 1FADH2, 1 ATP and 2Co2 are generated. Together, there 12 ATP synthesised per oxidation of one molecule of acetyl CoA.
The following topics are covered in this lesson,
1. Tricarboxylic acid cycle
2. Citric acid cycle
3. Krebs cycle
4. Reactions of citric acid cycle
5. Regulation of citrate synthase enzyme
6. Alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase enzyme
7. Succinate dehydrogenase enzyme
8. Malate dehydrogenase enzyme
9. Aconitase enzyme
10. Malate dehydrogenase enzyme
11. Oxaloacetate
12. Citrate synthase enzyme
13. Succinate dehydrogenase enzyme
Thanks very much for this video, it helps me understand the process. Thanks once again
Such great videos. You make this content very easy to digest. Really looking forward to your next video💗
I have been struggling to understand the Krebs cycle yet you had the easy way to digest it
Woaw thanks... anticipating for the next videos as my metab exam is approaching 💕
When is your exam?
Tysm🙏
Small request
Please provide pdf hand outs to learn subject along
Tysm for the videos
Always waiting for your next presentation 🙏
Too helpful
Do you offer online classes because u make things look way too easy❤️❤️
Mam please put vedio on Biosensor in Biotechnology kind request.
Ma'am your next videos
Please is AMP an activator or inhibitor?
High energy molecules such as ATP and NADH inhibit the cycle, whereas low energy molecules such as NAD+, ADP and AMP activate the cycle
@@pcbiochem thanks so much
