Spicy eels and bombs make all the diff, plus you can add up the triple expresso bonus on top: duplicate jade's as much as you can and exchange them at the desert merchant for the bombs (I think on thursdays), don't remember what's required for the spicy eels, so it mustn't be too difficult (same place, same day) I couldn't get throught the cave until I figured this out, also stairs ! (Idk why but it felt like cheating in my mind...)

edit: 19:45 I always associated "angel numbers" as a repeating number. Like 111, 222, 333, etc. but the way that you describe seeing 212 all over the place, i do believe that can be an angel number too, if it makes you feel some kinda way! The number clearly gives you a "zing" so follow your intuition ✨
Im curious to see how low you could go with a luck buff on stardrop luck days, combined with the dwarf statue buff that gives you a greater chance to find ladders and shafts! I feel like you'd eat it up
I don't, but explosives (bombs or ammo) do help to clear larger areas faster. I have spent enough time in the caverns that I'm pretty good at knowing where to place a bomb to do the most damage, but sometimes it still comes down to the last stone to find that staircase

This was originally just a chill dive where I wasn’t trying to PB and it quickly went so favorably that I pivoted. Normally when I’m trying to PB I used rock candies and some other strats.
I am against cheese just because I prefer selling all artisan goods, but there's no right answer. I'm of the mindset that I'd prefer to use free things like forage and specifically food I can get a lot of quick (like a harvest of a full field of pineapple versus waiting days and weeks to have enough cheese to feel comfortable). When I'm pushing for a PB like this, I take higher quality food to make my life a little easier but 9/10 times you'll find me using literally salmonberries no exaggeration.
maybe already have tons of them either from playing these runs or maybe using a mod or something so prefer to have money, eventually once you've upgraded all your tools and have all the prismatic clothes and have many leftover it probably isn't as necessary?
my viewers bully me if I don't lol (it's a meme in my streams), it actually started as a way to show folks that prismatic shards are not as rare as so many creators lead everyone to believe--you can toss one because you'll just find another if you know where to look, on this file I do have an iridium trash can but I have and absolutely will toss them in a base trash can with no $ return

@@sami-yc3xj Yeah but Cave Carrots heal you from the bomb damage and wood helps build more preserve jars and kegs to make more money. Shards have much more limited uses, mostly just Junimo Huts and Enchantments.

Consider also that this is the run she chose to upload, so presumably she got particularly lucky this day. But the strategy itself already works really well, no one needs to get this far down if you're just looking for iridium and prismatic shards.
The video literally states that this is my current PB. But even still, I upload all my stream VODs to TH-cam (plus the 100 CCV that watch my streams live every day), where I have successfully managed 250-300 floors MANY times.

50 is amazing! Never sell yourself short on your own accomplishments.
