The Long Road to Olympic Gold - Australian Culinary Team Documentary - Episode 1

A glimpse into the path the Australian Culinary teams have to face to get to the culinary olympics in Germany that is taking place in a few weeks time. There is so much more that can be said, and will hopefully be carrying on this project in the future creating episodes.
The reason I made this short film is because I wanted to tell And showcase what these chefs do for very little recognition in Australia. These chefs put in hours and hours of work just to get over to Germany for the olympics, not to mention the hospitality industry in Australia doesn’t give much to very little support. A lot of employers won’t give chefs the time off to be apart of training or competitions which for example would be like Sam Kerr being told by Chelsea she can’t represent Australia, or the Chicago bulls telling Michael Jordan he can’t play in the olympics because they are too busy that weekend and Scotty Pipen is already taking a holiday that weekend.
