Fascinating video! Thank you! The SS London sank in 1866 - 244 were lost aboard her, only 19 survived. The family must've paid to have his body sent to the UK, since generally bodies were just reburied at sea.
Oh man, I gotta catch up on the videos 😮 my wife has been in the hospital for pneumonia for the past 3 weeks, so I got a little behind watching the videos. We love ya!
Something about those crosses leaning on the wall in that one crypt just gave me the serious willies. Thank you for giving a bit of history on the names, I watch these for that and for the art and the energy of age.. Speaking of which, that Stuart Palm tree was magnificent.
This was just hilarious to me Dan! People soup? Your observations, interpretations, and critiques were great but the dog just set me off laughing. I couldn't control myself! This was on another level - just great! Touché! 😂 ♥️ 🤣
Be safe! Getting tired and cold can cause sickness. I wouldn't want you to get sick! Nice video by the way! Very enjoyable! Love the dog running, some of us call that 'zoomies' when the dog gets excited and runs back and forth! It is difficult to determine if stains and mold was caused by a leaking casket or just filth on the wall causing the growth of mold. However, such stains and growth does cause people to want to search for more such leaks! It adds to the atmosphere of the graveyard!
I really love your videos and the sights and sounds. Your commentary is interesting and sometimes so funny! People soup! 😂 I liked the facts you added to the video as overlay. Very interesting.
I was there last week. Wish I could get into the crypts. Looks like the council keep their stuff in it, and also found a ladder for a thin person to get in and out of it.
I love how these monuments in Scotland tell the profession of the men interred. That dog was cute, especially when he barked. Perhaps you could take some biscuits for dogs with you in case you meet more in the future.
I knew this particular cemetery was in Edinburgh but I didn't get to it. I love it. I'm going to go back soon and see it and the kirkyard of Linlithgow.
hey Dan learn Roman Numerals, very easy, and we can all work out those long dates together, love your walks there is a dreamy quality to your presentations, I am also a verdigris fan love the copper and bronze that has turned that beautiful green
The Bay of Biscay runs along the west coast of France to the north coast of Spain and is known for its storms. By the way, you're a funny guy! People soup! If it had actually been People Soup, I guarantee you would have probably lost your breakfast and lunch, then the liquid waste of a corpse smells awful. But since the corpses have certainly been lying in this cemetery for longer than 2 years, you can assume that the decomposition and putrefaction process has certainly already been completed. By the way, the 2 years is just a guideline, the less oxygen the longer it takes. A corpse left in the air decomposes in a few months, about 8 times faster than in a grave. But factors such as medications administered, groundwater and climate also play a role. Nevertheless, there are dead people in these catacombs that were buried more than 100 years ago... there are no more liquids. This is rain or condensation!
Biscayne bay is located near the state of Florida near the city of Miami in the United States of America, yeah and close the lid next time consider you got a nice dry copy of your souvenir, every one else visiting the cemetery would like one too.
Easy answer to casket failure, after you pass away, simply wait for a zombie virus and return to file a complaint with the manufacturers. ( A life insurance nightmare)😂
Hi Dan. It never ceases to amaze me how many men feature prominently in graveyards. Especially the ones with obscure positions in life. The women are always listed further down the headstone. Biblical criticism. What even is that? Haha. I really loved the architects one. Very stylish indeed.
Beautiful cemetery usually here in the US, stone's don't show that much information such as occupations. Many of people/family buried there, definitely had money very impressive memorials...
Im dipping because of the soup, otherwise known as an ex human loved by someone somewhere (I hope) too macabre for me I’m out but enjoy the soup to everyone else I guess 😌✌️
I love listening to you talk...you sound like John Lennon...are you from London? Also...could you read the whole stone sometimes? The years, and epitaphs?
You mean the melange of human stew, dirt and dust, and embalming fluid? It's probably bad enough that everything you ate that day would make a return appearance rather quickly. 😀
In my local park which 5 min walk they have a pet cemertry going back 50 to 60 years victorian time as well friends of the park do the up keep of it clean the graves alot of them flat on the concrete about 150 pets buried there

Omg i cant believe the amount of Karen and Darrens harping on about the leaflet holder lid being left open...is that REALLY all you lot took away from this video??

I am truely amazed at the Beautiful Monuments that they made back in those days. Sure wish had those now, and be able to afford it.❤
yes then we have ignorant people degrading them .
What a fascinating graveyard! How they give the professions everyone helps make more of a connection.

Did you remember to close the lid, after you took a leaflet?
Clearly he didn't. I'm constantly amazed how people ignore notices because they don't think the rules apply to them.
@@telquad1953 it didn't look like he did. I was hoping he closed it later when he wasn't filming.
At 11:50 the profile on that headstone looks like my science teacher from middle school, Mr. Blue! 😮 Like, it's a perfect likeness of him!
Lmao I came to say the same thing
Thank you KAREN

I thought that was naughty/ defiant to leave that brochure lid open also!!!😮
I was thinking the very same thing
Thanks!
Thank you x

I like the overlays with the extra info. Hope you are feeling better.
I really liked the added info on some of the people you found. 😊
Dan, don't ever stop walking in gravel when possible. It is ASMR heaven to me. ❤❤
Love a good walk! And the mysteriously person behind it. 😮
I'm knee deep in this winter weather. I enjoy & appreciate Dead Walks greatly!

This is a very beautiful cemetery. I enjoyed watching your video. Thank you ❤
It'd be cool if you came to Greenwich. We have several lovely old cemeteries within walking distance of each other.

Great video, thank you so much for sharing, and what a beautiful cemetery.
The birds in the background are a great security alarm 👍
"All those juices on the floor" gave me a chuckle.
Discusting, And Oddly Hilarious!!😢😂

Obviously the car DIED in the cemetery!
Fascinating tour! I live about a 40 minute drive from “Stratford, Canada” 😊

So inconsiderate…why didn’t you close the cover when you took the leaflet?
I keep expecting to hear "Did you see it".
I wonder whats the oldest grave in the cemetery

Bay of Biscay is around where Spain meets France.
Go back and close the lid!!

It'll dry out
The ship was traveling from England to Australia ...I don"t belive she was passing by Miami ...😊
Bay of Biscay, close to Spain and France. Nothing to do with Florida.
Would love for you to come up to Inverness and walk round our old cemetery’s and graveyards
Go back and look at the midshipman...he looks like a sober Sid Vicious.
