@@shirlysmilesmusic6919 many children died from diseases which we are fortunately given vaccines for nowadays. Diphtheria, polio, smallpox tb etc, which has mainly disappeared.
So many nay sayers here today. Thanks for the video Dan. One must always be careful in foreign countries especially in their cemeteries. Appreciate your respect.
A lot of those graves had very interesting writings. I paused and used Google Lens to translate. There where real stories told on some of those graves.
Here in our largest cemetary, where most famous Antwerp people are burried, you can "adopt" a neglected grave or tomb and take care of it. Then when you die you can be burried there (there's some rules though) Still this keeps the cemetary and monuments from coming in to a state of decay while still respecting the dead.
Ciao !!!
He does show beauty in cemeteries. He shows all he can manage in the time he has but people are interested in decay and damage too. For different reasons.
What amazes me is one mauspleum with doors unlocked and in perfect condition and just a few feet away is another that looks like a cyclone ran through it and the doors are locked,
With in 30 minutes of u posting this I got the news that my great grandmother died.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 can u show more photographs of the people on the headstone
Hi Dan It’s Brendan from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 Thank you for the videos It’s a shame that most of the Mausoleums are not maintained well As they look expensive to construct But in saying this The surroundings look peaceful R.I.P for all those who are buried there
This is like a once affluent neighborhood that has turned into a slum. I can't imagine the amount of money it would take to put it back in first class condition.
Wtg Dan, another great video ❤so sad though. Talk about the forgotten dead! Especially those young ones in that 'alley'. Those mausoleum's/ columbaria etc must have cost as much as a house for the living only to be treated that badly by the cemetery 😢 very sad
It's up to the families to care for their plots and some can't. There are plenty of other things that should be taken care of by the people who run the cemetery.
Love this so much and I love that parts are falling down it’s such a statement of time and fading memory it’s haunting, beautiful and I love it Thankyou!
It's so sad that they dont keep the cemetery neat and tidy out of sheer respect. I would feel deeply offended if i went to visit a relatives grave and i found this mess.shocking. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
If you happen to come across the surname “Iannarelli” (that’s my name) please linger over it with your filming for a few seconds so I can read it properly.
I'd love to but then you would get people complaining about taking too long. Can't keep everyone happy. You can pause or slow down the video under video options
Its amazing to think that they spend all this wealth on their dead, only to be forgotten and neglected two generations latter... Like the beautifull lady at 4:48. Tucked away, in an abandoned corner, completely forgotten... Or the tiny baby at 11:40... the parents geif, now long forgotten nor cared for... Im so surprised, as being half Italian, I expected the care for the ancestral dead would have been much better looked after... I guess I was wrong. 😞
Re the graffiti on one of the headstones, you didn’t linger long enough nor focus/zoom in enough for me to read it properly. I’ve, nevertheless, tried (unsuccessfully) reading it by freeze-framing and focusing in (add to this the difficulty in deciphering the handwriting).
Right about 10:18 or just before you can see a dark misty shape or shadow fly up the steps. It’s very quick but very much there. I’ve experienced what is called paranormal many times but I refer to it as normal. I’ve experienced things like this in places like Gettysburg. With all those spirits there I think it’s quite normal. So check it out because it’s quite apparent but moves very quickly. Kind Thanks for this very interesting and amazing tour! It would be a place you could spend days among all that history and many lives lived and so many memories for many. Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
I sincerely hope that they are serious about repairing that cemetery. There is much work to do. However, this cemetery is amazing. Well worth the cost and work.
Amazing cemetery! Thanks. At 11:00 there is a voice that doesn't sound like you. Or was it you? Sounds like it says "Can't believe they put you on fire." I'm probably wrong.
Yes, your Italian pronunciation leaves a lot to be desired. But don’t worry… I don’t hate you 😄 Incidentally, what was written on the side of that mausoleum (“giugno 2004”) was “June 2004”. Either the plastering design of that outside wall was done in 2004 or the entire structure. I suspect, though, it was relating to the external plastering design.
Greetings from Poteet Texas and thank you for your video of Cemetery In Naples Italy. They have been a blessing to me. How ever I wish you wood stop calling a Mausoleum a columbarium Columbine is for ashes Cremated mausoleum has cast with bodies in it.
I’ve never seen mausoleum like these. Very interesting but the disrepair is sad. How did you get started doing grave yards? I know a couple of people who take paper and charcoal and put the paper over the tombstone and rub charcoal and it just makes a imprint of it Thank you for sharing these videos
It is so incredible to me that these places just go on and on and on. Does the Mafia own these Cemetery/Masoleum grounds? Are we still in the same place as Part 1 and 2? Very overwhelming to say the least. They don't have road signs like they do in France.
Hope you don't get lost in there.I fit know how you find your way out it looks a big maze also be carefull.if there r maffia graves as they may not want you there 🇬🇧
Explain what is the cemetery is with a mausoleum and so close together at the few ground Graves I've seen how in the world do they have funerals there I'm just curious excuse me but I live in the United States so I'm very interested in seeing these beautiful cemeteries ❤❤❤ Respectfully
@deadgoodwalks I have slowed down and clipped your video from 10:15 onwards and there is definitely something moving up the staircase. Did you see any birds flying nearby? If youd like the clip let me know where to send it.
So many neglected cemeteries. That is why I plan to be cremated and my ashes spread in the river near where I grew up as a child. I do love cemeteries though. Thanks for the video.
Before doing a video like that, do some research who the famous people are, learn some language so we know what is said on the stones . You are just walking around saying nothing.
Beautiful place, however, you go thru the place too quickly. I'm really not understanding the purpose of your videos. There were so many headstones and vaults I wished you would have taken a minute or so at. It's almost like you start at one end and how long will it take you to find your way to other end. But will say, your brave to go under ground, that was nuts.
It looks like a village for the dead. Such a shame to see so run down. You don't sound happy in your videos. Not that you want to laugh. Lot of children. Thank you for sharing it with us
Interesting and amazing but spooky for me............would definitely jump if I bumped into another living soul ..........it seems so desolate...........

It’s such a shame that it’s so neglected having such expensive mausoleums there. It’s like a miniature town.
I was thinking the same thing, like crypt town
Sometimes I think that the graves that are really neglected is because no family members are alive anymore to tend to them.😢
You're right but wouldn't you think the town or something would do maintenance, it's awful
It’s like a city for dead people, rip to all
Waste of land space

Excellent as always Dan.👍
Yes a shame as many are neglected or falling..but very interesting video..thanks dan as always😊
It’s all so sad, disturbing and disrespectful of the people entrusted with the care of this cemetery to neglect their perpetual care.
It's up to the families to care for their plots and some can't. There are plenty of other things that should be taken care of by the people who run the cemetery.
Love the video, what an eye opener. Absolutely gorgeous place

Wow..what a place. Thanks Dan
Strange cemetery! The lay out is confusing for sure
I can see this is quite daunting to maneuver. Quite beautiful and interesting. Thank you !!❤❤
I wish you would take the time to look at the pictures and the inside of the mausoleums. Otherwise you seem to just be ping ponging around v
He already said he has a short time
I cannot believe how neglected and forgotten that is. It is positively dangerous for the living, be so very careful.
Would have liked a look inside some more of these structures where easily possible,I’m sure others would too.
Its not the cough that carries you off its the coffin they carry you off in😂..sorry, couldnt resist. Great vid thankyou❤
There must be smell and leakage of material as NOT all those are tightly sealed.....
Not if they are old
Great video! Could you look more thru the doors of the mausoleums?

To restore a place of that size and complexity would take considerable planning. I'm not surprised it's slow going. Love the video either way.

The condition of that cemetery is shameful
What is the chatter in the back ground. I sounds like many voices. What you said you had to leave it stopped and then started back up.
I would never want my family members buried in a place like that. If they fail to make all the repairs, what will they do with all the bodies?

Weird and so interesting. What a shame they are unkempt. A few reminding me of Tutankhamen and the thing in that E Island.
Ridiculous the amount of money and resources spent on the dead.

Definitely a biohazard. There’s so much bacteria in air too especially with the leaking crypts and baking heat 🤢

It much a massive cemetery.
They all mostly end with an A, O E and Y..or I
I guess some of those expensive looking memorials and mausoleums have mafia connections.

No perpetual care in that cemetery.
