I am working my way through your old videos during your time of absence from making/posting new ones. How different and “populated” these early ones are! I am a country soul at heart, so I like best your later works- but these busy ones are interesting in showing other facets of your country. I looked up the Fahrenheit equivalent of the Celsius reading you mentioned and that was indeed very hot- and especially for the UK, being further north. Those would be considered hot temps even around here. (Can only imagine how hot it was to be on the sand at that beach, with the sun reflecting off of it). Speaking of uncharacteristic weather patterns, we have again had a tornado in western NY state- this time right in Buffalo. It started as a waterspout on Lake Erie and moved ashore. Thankfully, it was brief and there was only property and foliage damage, and no injuries or loss of lives. This frequency of this type of a storm that we have had lately is highly atypical for our area. I wish it would stay that way- and really, I wish that nobody anywhere would have the distress and danger of these bad storms.
How are you doing? I hope you are well. :)

Hi Janet. It is very nice to hear from you. I was only thinking about you earlier as I was wondering how your beginning of the week is going. Sorry to hear that there have been more bad storms. Glad to hear there have been no injuries or loss of life tho..
These early videos do make for a stark contrast compared to the much newer content. Just a few videos in from here you will see where the early morning Cotswold videos started but must forewarn you that it was rather messy as I really didn't have a clue what I was doing back then but then over time I gradually started to mprove (kind of!)
Oh by the way I just got a new lens attachment (1.1 anamorphic lens) yesterday which I have been experimenting with and so far I am very pleased with it. Loving the blue flares it produces at night time on bright light sauces.
Have a good rest of the week.
      Many thanks.
      OAAW

I see that the next walk in line (I am trying to go in order) is an early morning walk in Castle Combe- so that will satisfy my longings for more rural/peaceful areas quite nicely, and will be a bit of a change. :) No worries if it is unpolished compared to later video walks, as that is all part of the learning process, and I would imagine that you feel pleased when you can see your progress through the months/years visually documented. Frankly, I have been really amazed at the sheer number of walks that you made! You really put in a lot of miles, and honed your skills. How exciting about your new lens, and I am glad that you are pleased with the possibilities for its use! I don’t know a lot about photography (wish I did know more), but I do know that I and others will appreciate the results you get with your camera and the various lenses when you post new walks. :)
I will probably watch the next walk in line later this week, as it’s not quite as busy of a week as was the last- with “quite” being the operative word there… : /

@@janetryan9779 yes, that is the one that I was referring to…I honestly did not realise I had did it that soon after WSM (not looked at my back catalog in a very long time).
The really astounding thing about these early videos is I had absolutely no idea at the time where it was to lead me, as in the friendships that were to be formed and the avenues of creativity I would take. I am truly grateful for both.

Yes, I have experienced that same phenomenon in the realm of my instrumental music- lots of friends made and many really great experiences!
As for your channel, it must be amazing to you to know that through the comments section you have gotten a window into the lives of people literally all around the world! I don’t take time to read all of the comments, but even a rudimentary glance reveals that your viewers span the globe, united by a common appreciation for beautiful scenery and walking. You can feel proud of producing videos that do this; well done! :)
Looking forward to the next walk in C.C. ………

Why is it every time I watch a blog or a vlog they never show the old pier ( Burn bek pier)

    • @OutandaboutWalking
      @OutandaboutWalking  ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Jeff. Thank you for your comment. That is a very good point especially as the pier is a valuable part of Weston’s heritage & history. In my defence this was one of my first videos on YT (I was just wandering around with a camera strapped to my chest back then) and at the time did not take into account or even think about the historical side of things which on reflection was an oversight on my part. Maybe I can put that right this summer and do a walk featuring some of the historical areas of the town including Birnbeck Pier. Thanks. OAAW

Myself and my partner have been coming to Weston super mare for about five years and I had been a couple of time later wife but my partner of five years had been going since she was a child but she didn't now that born bek pier existed till a couple of years ago

@@jeffrandle4217 that’s the thing not all visitors to the town realise that the pier is even there, it is an amazing sight to behold. Like your partner W-S-M was a staple part of my own childhood and I have many fond memories of the town. Thanks. OAAW

Because there's a bloody big fence stopping you from using it? And it's been a dangerous ruin for decades?
