I picked one up for $39 and it has really poorly applied lume but it’s super comfortable and the dimensions are great for my 6.8” wrist. Much better than the nautilus homage from LGXIGE.
Seriously this watch really surprised me with how good the watch really is, .ive spent three times the money for a watch that wasnt anywhere near this watch, so id definitely say to people," what you waiting for"!!?
I bought both the Orange and the Green models. I like them both. The weird thing is if you look closely you will see that the case on the Green one is slightly smaller!
I have had one of these for a few months now and I'm very very impressed with it. Comfortable, decent time keeping and looks really good. The odd winding back of the chrono hand, I assumed was to allow you to count the number of minutes that elapsed whilst it was ticking rather than have to sit and count each minute that you time. Great daily/beater.
That is the dealbreaker for me. Why couldn't they use a different movement to make the subdial the minute counter and the seconds dial the chrono seconds?
Just out of interest I typed 'specht and sohne' into google translate and got 'Woodpecker and son' ! WTF China ! Somebody's been thumbing through a German dictionary and thought 'yeah that'll do'! haha
Is the green as rich and vibrant as shown in your video? I've seen the watch in green in other photos and none of them pop as much as the one in your video.
Like most watches with a sunburst dial, it depends on lighting. Under soft diffused warm lighting like I have on my videos, the dial is this colour, I try to colour match my newer videos as well as I possibly can to imitate what I see irl. Elsewhere, the vibrancy changes of course.
Looking at this in the Chrono and Automatic. I'm leaning to the Automatic as seeing the second hand not even come close to the markers. I'm fine with Quartz but come on, at least try
Great video, just got in a black with orange one and I agree on almost all your points. My clasp is especially nasty and is very awkward to close from one side, and if you close that side first it will always unbutton as I close the other. And as for the lume mine is actually pretty acceptable, it's not a nightlight but it has been readable at early hours of the morning. Finally the chronograph also records minutes, that what the spin backwards is for, you know the seconds and then count the backwards rotations for the minutes. I bought this one to test the brand because I also have interest in their aquanaut automatic and their bell and ross chronograph, and they heartily surpassed my expectations so I will be seeing about buying the others. Have a nice day.
Thank you! For my chrono when it hits a certain threshold for minutes like say an hour or so, the spin back kinda decreases. There seems to be a limit to it.
@@Tone_SA I didn't check if it had an upper limit but an hour makes sense, could it be that the chronograph expects you to know that an hour has passed and that it starts spinning from how many minutes above one hour has passed? Maybe I'll have some time and check it later.
@@Tone_SA Coming back to the comment on the chronograph. Is it really a silly thing that it "unwinds" before resseting?. Don't you think that's a way to keep track of the elapsed minutes if you're not "calling them"?. Just take note of the elapsed seconds before resseting and count the revolutions back, ie. you ran it for 16 minutes and 54 seconds for the video. I hope the factory takes note of your suggestions and/or sponsors you for a V2 of this piece.
If they could nail the exact proportions of the aquanaut and nautilus they would have a real winner, when it comes to chinese homages they differ in the case proportions, some are more faithful to the original than others, so it's difficult to know which one to get
The Geneve in the dial must be one of those replica European cities in China 😂 But jokes aside I love me some aliexpress homage watches, incredible value for the cost. And this one looks like a good option
That's how I like the tribute watches that finally look like the originals.

Seems like that imperfection on the 8 is easy to see. Still, a nice looking watch. Its in my cart, along with many others. Lol

there is an automatic version with a seagull movement (70SGD), absolute charm
If I am not wrong that's also a standard 3 hander, and not a chrono.
Do you mean there is the same watch but with seagull movement ?
I love the face size and shape in an endless world of dive watches...this is refreshing. Plus its Paul McCartneys daily wear. Um ....the $40K version
Hi, what is the crystal made of? I presume it is not sapphire, and I presume you said what it was, but I forgot 😐
mineral crystal
@@Tone_SA Thanks.
Brand name is the best thing of this watch!))
Yes, which translates to:
Woodpecker & Sons in German!

Lol..
😆🤣 This woodpecker and son is legit.
I woodn't buy it 🤣
They misspelled Sohne, left out the umlaut over the O.
Still, an excellent watch for the price!!!

sorry I should've stated the band not the dial@@Tone_SA
@@hollaz2 The strap is usually a duller green, like the one on the Patek
Mine does not have Geneve, but Quartz on the dial
My question exactly - I can't find an answer to what the difference represents anywhere.
Can you replace the battery on this watch?
Yep
how did you get the band back on the strap, its impossible
You mean the buckle? I just had to push abit harder with a tool

Have my eyes on this for a while. Maybe on the next sale, 60€ is still a bit too much on my opinion.
You definitely can get it below 50 during the sale, I got mine around 40+
How has this watch worked out long term?
Still fine, though I traded it off with a friend.
@@Tone_SA thanks for letting me know. I'll take the plunge
what size are the case lugs?
They fit 20mm straps
@@Tone_SA Have you ever replaced the strap with a 20mm size?
I saw a lot of people saying the lug is 21mm and some say 20mm
No I haven't replaced the strap yet.

I film with a Oneplus 9 Pro.
