Loved the reaction to this one, the gradual shift from "Not sure about this one" to really getting into the mood and vibe of it. All the cars were built on air-cooled VW frames, beetles for the bull, the lion, the mobster and Frankenstein's monster, and a Karma-Ghia for the buzzbomb. The personas of the racers are based on the same kind of concepts as pro wrestlers, so very appropriate usage of the term "Heel" . And just remember "There's nothing sweet in your ear".. BLITZKRIEG
This movie has been criminally forgotten over the years, buried by a lackluster "remake" that retained none of the satire and is simply a Jason Statham action flick.
44:11 Murder by Death is awesome, although when she says, "and the thing falls, and the yes", she may be confusing it with the chandelier falling scene in Clue. I need to rewatch Murder by Death to see if anything falls. The moose-head perhaps. Anyway, this is great. Also, most Mary Woronov movies need to be reacted to (by all reactors, everywhere), especially ones produced by Roger Corman and/or directed by Paul Bartell.
Boy, that brings back memories. I was 11 when this came out. My Pops, took in everything Carradine did. (Not kidding. Check my first name. Thursday nights at 8.00, the world stopped when Kung Fu came on. And we were a jiu-jitsu household.) Great days.
I remember seeing this movie on HBO back in the 80s…was way too young and had no idea what was going on, but I loved all the interesting cars. Also it’s always interesting seeing your after show review, you both have some really interesting conversations. Gotta say though, the one sentence I never thought I’d hear was “Moving on from Sylvester Stallone’s dick…” 😂
It's supposed to be just like in tv WRESTLING - every one of these drivers has a GIMIC or PERSONA (Nazi, gangster, cowgirl, Roman, monster). So lighten up.

@The Roommate euthanasia day earning points is too on the nose but no hand-granade comment......
Blitzkrieg just means Lightning War.
@theroommate711 The look on your face at 10:51 is priceless... 😂😂
BTW... Nero the Hero is played by Martin Kove AKA Sensei Kreese from the Karate Kid franchise.
Chicken in the casket was one of my favourite parts of the film.
Fascinating that you guys picked this… thank you
This is such a fun movie, and brings new meaning to "Hand Grenade"!
This movie made me fall in love with Mary Woronov(Calamity Jane)!

Well, they bought the rights and did what they wanted.
Though Roger Corman got the rights back and promptly made an official sequel 'Death Race 2050'.

For another dystopian future car movie you should react to 1981 The Last Chase with Lee Majors and Burgess Meredith.

You guys should see the movie called "Rubber." It's about a tire that comes to life and started to kill everyone.
Another one I'd recommend is "The Shaft", about a killer elevator.
@@robertmcghintheorca49 This I got to find out.
I recently just heard about this one and it does sound completely ridiculous

Doesn't know who Helen Mirren is? You've gotta watch Red. She is so great in that, and it's such a fun movie.
I can't believe they fell for it. 12:00
I hope she doesn't mind, but I like her hair like that to be honest. Also, I just noticed you wearing a Captain Jack Harkness coat.
She doesn’t mind, and thank you
RAF rank insignia of Group Captain on the coat which would make sense for Captain Jack :) Sorry, I am a little bit of UK military geek
Corman's Best--- Galaxy of Terror
Are , you gonna react to the movie 🍿🎥 Megan.
Love how everyone thinks they are some kind of "expert" about filmmaking. Trust me. You 2 are NOT.
Thank you. Please would you try watching "From Beyond" (1986).
