I'm just glad the 2+ mag 30-45mm objective form is making a comeback with modern optics and reticles. It's a neglected sweet spot of eyebox, forgiving parallax, and bulk. The credo 2-10 x36 and the PA Glx 2.5-10 are my favorite scopes I've owned.

You absolutely, positively, have one of the best and most honest scope/review channels on TH-cam. I have been following you for a couple of years l, and you really make great quality content. I live in Denmark, where a lot of American scopes are not available, so when buying my last Swampfox, your review was one of the biggest contributing factors, since I couldn't se it in a store my self. BTW, try to take a look at Element Optics at one point. They make great stuff that competes with Athlon, Vortex and the like. All the best to you and your family 😊
GREAT review. This little scope has a massive field of view as well. My Zeiss V6 2-12x50 has like 60+ feet of view at 2x, but that's a SFP scope. This one is FFP and has 55+.....which is really awesome. Thanks for the great review! God speed with your closing and move.

I bought one about a year ago and I really loved all of the features and the clear glass. I sent it back to Athlon because the front bell got damaged in a accident and Athlon fixed it and sent it back, no questions asked.
Couldn't agree more. Excellent optic. Bought it as a middle of the road scope for my Ruger 10/22 and have found it belongs on a more serious rifle...it will be taking the place of an 1800 dollar optic on an AR platform. Excellent optic. God bless you and yours.
I bought one of these recently based on your review: it's my first "real" scope. Got it for $430 on a year-end sale and am really pleased with it so far. I put it on my Steyr Scout and as you said: it seems like a great all-around, do anything sort of scope. If I had a decent 16" AR or general-purpose .308 semi-auto, I'd buy a second one for that rifle too.
Instead of paint you can try a ranger wrap. It protects and it will give you the color that you want. In fact I have an extra FDE sheet that will match your rifle perfectly. Its your if you want it and heck you can even make a review of it.
I recently went on a hunting trip and brought my 6x SWFA SS. It was adequate but I just felt like having variable/more magnification would have been nice. Also no locking turrets! So I'll be looking to pick one of these up before next season.
1000% agree with ya C. It sits perched up in a 1.7 Badger ot top BCM enhanced light weight upper. O and i have GOOD NEWS!! A 35° mounted holosun 407 RD has just enough wiggle room to get a fantastic sight picture. Those big turrets only take up maybe 10% of the window but you hardly notice. I do need to find some good caps though maybe 100concepts

Sounds like an amazing product or a mid range set up. I do understand the issue with the 1-ish MOA dot. When you’re trying to zero or test ammo do you want to be able to shoot sub inch groups. So even for someone who shoots steel on the move as a reloader it’s nice to have a smaller center dot. You can still shoot sub inch groups with a 1 inch circle but it just makes it a little harder
Congratulations on the success of the channel. It is well earned. I have recently learn about speed drops and I believe that this scope would play very well with speed drops. It would be interesting to see your channel have a video series on speed drops as used by Accuracy first. The reason that I mention this is because it would be interesting to see if any particular scope could achieve something like a 2.3 Mil offset when readjusting the zero stop. With an adjustable offset zero a Mil scope reticle could be used as bullet drop compensation for known distances.
I've been using speed drop with my Athlon Cronus and can slip the turret to make it happen. I agree, if C can incorporate it into his reviews it would be great.
You sir deserve a kickback from a few scope manufacturers. This is the second scope I have ordered after watching one of your videos! I’m very happy with the 1-6 nova I ordered earlier this year.

I agree with the Athlon being scope of the year, love that optic. Loved the first one I bought for my spr so much I bought another for a short 300 blackout bolt and it’s perfect for that setup.
Still waiting on a company to make a lightweight, compact FFP 1.5/2-10/12x32. Ah but I can dream. One with more features than the SWFA model, adjustable parallax would be the cherry on top.

I own the PA PLxC 1-8 M8 yards. And I love it! And would love a 1.5-12 or 2-12 or 2.5-15 or something like that. Capped windage, give it a locking dial elevation and a parallax adjustment and maybe a slightly finer reticle for a little bit more precision and I would pick on up in a heartbeat!
Great choice... I used the MRAD version today at the range on an AR, the moa version will be going on next. The 2-12x42 MRAD is great on a rimfire bolt gun for NRL22 use

I went with the Argos Hmr sfp in the same magnification range for my new Bergara. I'm super happy with it. Took the plunge on a deal from cameralandny without having the opportunity to see one in person. I wouldn't normally do that, but they have so many good reviews.
What we need is a really compact 4-16 with full feature turrets Because we don't need under 4x from our scope if we are running an offset red dot A red dot covers everything out to 200 meters and then a 4-16 covers everything past that
What a year. And not just commenting because I got lucky and bought this scope in march this year and I absolutely scream about it daily. Now lets hope 2024 brings some more of these 2-12s to market.

I bought one of these last month and really like it so far! I can't wait to use it more going forward and hopefully stretch it out. My only complaint so far is the height of the top turret.

That is a great scope, I just can’t do chinese made. Hope leupold and NF will finally start listening to their customers and come out with an optic that has similar magnification and features.
It look like Leupold do mistakes from time to time and make something great like the Mark V 2-10. Nightforce... I cant complain with the NX8 2.5-20 and atacr 1-8 tbh 🤷 I dont think they could make something competitive against the Helos at the price point though.

Best 1-10 imo is PA GLX 1-10x FFP. My go to for the competition 2024 year will be my vcog sco. I finally got my hands on one and love it. It's 1-8 and a tank. I absolutely love my helos 2-12. it made me sell my nf 2-10 it was that much better. my only concern and the only reason i keep my eye open for its replacement is its source of origin. with that being said this optic has been put through a lot of abuse and its never failed me yet.

In the long run, your house will go up in value. It only matters if you're planning on living there short term. A family home for years will always prove to be a good idea. Only one time in history did it actually "crash" and all the reasons have been fixed. Congrats 🎉

I was up in the air between the Helos 2-12x and the Credo 2-10x I haven’t been able to put hands on the Helos so I went with what I knew I liked but I think my Mk12 Mod-1 or my LR308 may have a date with one of these. Also you sold me on the Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 3-15x44. I got a display model for $530 and I’m really appreciating now how much the Trijicon Credo missed out on the side parallax. Huge downer. But I still love that scope for its versatility and weight. Also wanted to know what you though of Primary Arms SLX 1-10x SFP. If you haven’t done a vid on that one I’d love to see one. I snagged one for $450 when the first came out on a whim. It’s sitting on a 16” AR right now and I am digging it. Not perfect but I love the ACSS Raptor 105 reticle. Too big at 1x I think. But it’s a fun reticle to use in my opinion.

Vortex just dropped a Strike Eagle 1-6 gen iii in the form of the new Venom 1-6. It's better glass in the body of the Strike Eagle 1-8 FFP with the Strike Eagle 1-6 Gen II reticle. It's got a wide 126ish foot fov at 1x which is more than even the Sig Tango MSR line. I'd love to see a comparison between it and the Strike Eagle 1-6 gen II mainly between illumination as it seems the Strike Eagle has better illumination but everything goes to the Venom. Additionally it is believed this scope will replace the Strike Eagle 1-6, furthermore when a commenter asked if Vortex would do a gen III PST Vortex replied "saying have patience" so keep an eye out for that!
I have one, like it a lot and will probably buy another one and maybe a Talos BTR 10x42. By now I have 2 scopes, a prism and binos from Athlon. Always beyond expectations. They are not my NX8 but Athlon scopes never let me down like PST gen 1&2 and SH4 did...

Your opinion on optics is solid gold! Found one for $429 and could not resist. I so badly want to try out this optic!

I was up in the air between the Helos 2-12x and the Credo 2-10x I haven’t been able to put hands on the Helos so I went with what I knew I liked but I think my Mk12 Mod-1 or my LR308 may have a date with one of these. Also you sold me on the Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 3-15x44. I got a display model for $530 and I’m really appreciating now how much the Trijicon Credo missed out on the side parallax. Huge downer. But I still love that scope for its versatility and weight. Also wanted to know what you though of Primary Arms SLX 1-10x SFP. If you haven’t done a vid on that one I’d love to see one. I snagged one for $450 when the first came out on a whim. It’s sitting on a 16” AR right now and I am digging it. Not perfect but I love the ACSS Raptor 105 reticle. Too big at 1x I think. But it’s a fun reticle to use in my opinion.

Need to really check this scope out for my hunting rifle. Just wish it had a tad bit more upper magnification.
Vortex just dropped a Strike Eagle 1-6 gen iii in the form of the new Venom 1-6. It's better glass in the body of the Strike Eagle 1-8 FFP with the Strike Eagle 1-6 Gen II reticle. It's got a wide 126ish foot fov at 1x which is more than even the Sig Tango MSR line. I'd love to see a comparison between it and the Strike Eagle 1-6 gen II mainly between illumination as it seems the Strike Eagle has better illumination but everything goes to the Venom. Additionally it is believed this scope will replace the Strike Eagle 1-6, furthermore when a commenter asked if Vortex would do a gen III PST Vortex replied "saying have patience" so keep an eye out for that!
I have one, like it a lot and will probably buy another one and maybe a Talos BTR 10x42. By now I have 2 scopes, a prism and binos from Athlon. Always beyond expectations. They are not my NX8 but Athlon scopes never let me down like PST gen 1&2 and SH4 did...
