Remember to plug your MAF sensor back in at 06:05! 🙈I totally forgot to include that step whilst editing, but hopefully it's self explanatory 😁 Also, CEUK have been in touch. Fitting instructions can be found on their website: bit.ly/CPerformanceInductionFittingInstructions
Great editing on the video especially like the under bonnet shot when driving. I liken the look of the kit the filter is massive but I still think I will wait for mountune to release stuff.
Great video/editing. Especially the shot with the hood being see thru when driving. Very cool. I'm in the USA and drive a 2014 FiST. It's a damn shame we dont get the MK8 here in the USA. Great looking car friend!
Aaron Beau Thanks for the support! As you probably know, I drove a MK7 for nearly 4 years - absolutely brilliant car! A massive shame about the MK8 in the US 😔
I think adding noise tests inside the cabin would be useful as you then get an understanding of how it will sound to the driver. Love your videos by the way!
Maxwell Hopkins I’ll be honest - I did film them, but I look like a complete mug in them 😂 Windows up, and wouldn’t know it was there. Windows down and you can hear it (obvs). It’s far more subtle than the intakes on the MK7 though 👍🏼
I would suggest locking nuts (or locking compound) on the bolts holding the grommets as the could shake free over time. Great video btw mate. Sounds great too.
adrian hurley Thanks! Not really as the stock ECU simply adjusts itself to the increased airflow. You get a little extra noise. However if you combine this with aftermarket software, you get an epic noise and increased power 😎
Just did this last night and oh boy. It's a little different! :D If you're doing this mod on a 1.0 standard ecoboost (not ST), then when you need to get the MAF sensor off the airbox, you'll need to lift the MAF sensor clip up and turn it the opposite way to the arrows (counter clockwise) - OVER the little thing that sits in the way of it. Then you can easily pull it out. Just barely need to turn it, as soon as the clip is lifted past the little blocky thing, you can slowly pull the sensor out! Additionally, the maf sensor wiring will be stuck with a clip to the stock airbox which can be a nightmare to get off. I ended up just poking at mine violently with a flathead until it came loose
Drownik This is the sound made by the induction kit. Essentially, it allows you to hear the stock recirculation valve more clearly, which is the noise you are hearing :)
@@JBCTR holy fuck.. Okay, I only listened those kits on atmosphetic cars. It's awesome... One more thing, between that kit, and others where the filter comes covered in a box, like the stock air filter box, what would be a better choice? Thanks for the fast reply! I love your videos.
I like the way you do a walk to camera at the start of your vids, it's sort of a blend of Jezza, the Hamster and Capt Slow all rolled into one 👍 Do the mods you have done void your warranty? I have a 17' plate MK7 ST and have stuck to the mountune MP215 kit, simply for the fact if I have problems I won't have shot myself in the foot. You may possibly have slightly larger cahooners in this area if you know you have no warranty. Good vid 🤟
Alex B Being compared to the trio is quite a compliment! Cheers 😬 Yup, mods do avoid warranty. However, both are unlikely to cause any issues and have their own warranties if there are any failures with the parts themselves. Manufacturer’s warranty remains intact for the rest of the vehicle 👍🏼
Hi quick question. I am trying to fit this on my MK8 vignale. But it seems that there is a hose and a sensor coming from the turbo it self? were do i put that? And the MAF sensor seems to be really hard to turn?
For anyone else reading this - if you're doing this mod on a 1.0 standard ecoboost (not ST), then you'll need to lift the MAF sensor clip up and turn it the opposite way to the arrows (counter clockwise) - OVER the little thing that sits in the way of it. Then you can easily pull it out. Just barely need to turn it, as soon as the clip is lifted past the little blocky thing, you can slowly pull the sensor out!
levenway If it impacts fuel consumption, it’s likely to improve it as it allows more air to flow. It’s too early for me to say how much of an impact it’s had. Give it a week, and I’ll update this comment section 😬😊😁
After a good few days, happy to report it’s had the desired effect. Fuel consumption is improved by quite some margin. My commute used to average 42mpg, I’ve seen as high as 47mpg average since fitting. Quite impressive!
still unsure about swapping my mk7.5 for a mk8. Ford want 299pm for an ST-3 with performance pack I pay 179pm for my 17 plate mk7.5 so I not convinced it's worth 120pm
alex w That is a big jump I must admit. If you are looking at just the cars, the MK8 is a huge step up. But everyone’s financial situation is different. I’d highly recommend it if the finance works :)
Will you have to remove it and put the stoch air box for the next scheduled service in order to not void warranty? What if ford uk watch your videos? 😁
I won't need to remove for a service as my local dealer is pretty mod friendly. Issues arise if something breaks on the car. The warranty is then only invalid if the fault is a direct cause of the modification. So for example, if the sunroof where to break, it would still be covered under warranty as clearly, this has nothing to do with the induction kit. Don't get me wrong, there is a risk here, but I'm happy to take it as the chances are small.
Japi 357 Not too many remaps available for this car yet! All still in development. If you have a quick google, there are a few that are popping up with dyno graphs
Millennium FPV Interior noise is minimal which is nice. You can just about hear it if you listen carefully. It’s likely it’ll void warranty, but unlikely to cause any issues. 👍🏼
It is definitely a (MAF) mass airflow sensor mate. It's in the same position in almost every car. Also you can see in the video it was re-attached. Don't be facetious.
So you're happy to allow 18 times more dust / grit into your engine over the stock filtration system? That's 18 times more sh*t going through your MAF and turbo. What's left ends up in the cylinders... some of that eventually ends up in your engine oil. That then is helping wear out your bearings.
Is this a common problem? debating getting this bit of kit however still tempted to just put a k@n pannel filter in but not sure lol any help would be great!
I covered the LED lights a little in my options review. They’re also mentioned in my next video, which should be out this weekend :D Link to options review: th-cam.com/video/hpwpl3mliCU/w-d-xo.html

This was excellent - great work with the vid, informative and entertaining.
The sound is awesome.

Great production quality and the content was brilliant. Impressive for a small individual channel it seems very professional. Fair play mate.

Pretty good editing dude. Keep it up, bright future ahead of you.

I put a pipercross panel filter on mine found the throttle response was a lot better feels like it picks up a lot quicker
are you still running the stock air box & panel filter? I'm running the same induction kit & feel like the car is a little sluggish compared to stock

They could've put additional piping to direct teh cold are more towards the cone. Imho.
My maf sensor will not budge at all!! Any advice?!
Awesome video! Did you notice a power difference with this fitted?
adrian hurley Thanks! Not really as the stock ECU simply adjusts itself to the increased airflow. You get a little extra noise. However if you combine this with aftermarket software, you get an epic noise and increased power 😎
Take the car to a bench test and compare the original with the aftermarket, would be nice to see how much difference it cause.
Francisco Ferreira I’ll see what I can do!
Another wicked video!
Thanks for the video man, do you think the silicone hose is useless ?
It looks nice and will likely change the sound slightly. Performance gains will probably be negligible.
Will the installation be the same for a Fiesta ST LineX? Rather than a Fiesta ST
I think it'll be slightly different as the engine is different.

Is this compatible for Ford Fiesta trend 2018?
I don't believe it is as the Fiesta trend has a different engine.
does there exist some kind of data sheet or something like this for the air filter?

is it TUV approved for Germany?
I don't believe so, but may be worth confirming with CEUK directly.

I'm not sure! May be worth asking the guys at CEUK.
