Brilliant edited and produce video. Very informative and thorough of one of the most over engineered intakes I’ve seen. Genuinely, there is little if any gain to be had with fitting this to anything less than stage 2

Not a bad intake at all, Revo imho is the 2nd best after proalloy though :)

Lots of people have said this to me and if it is, fair enough. But I haven’t seen any test figures on the proalloy (and it is more expensive with the crossover pipe than the Revo). Revo have published their test results up to 14bhp max and it can flow air up to 700 CFM. What can the pro alloy do?
Stock air box if your chasing performance, aftermarket for the sound
We offer an open cone and OEM+ system (uses the stock airbox) and testing clearly showed improved airflow and performance with the open cone system over the OEM+. The airbox will still be a restriction. Have a look at onlyrevo.com for more information.

thats the turbo spooling mate/sucking in air sound, but can also be a minor air leak around the turbo to intake pipe joint and its sucking air through the tiniest of gaps, thus the squal,, but mostly just spool/suck sound, my 1.0 does the same

I want this so badly, but changing to an open intake can be an issue when trying to get the car through mandatory inspection in Denmark. The rules are overly strict.
A closed System is available Also www.onlyrevo.com/product-details/air-filter-intake-kits/ford-fiesta-st-mk8-oem-intake, its a full system all the way to the turbo, just like the kit in the video, the only difference is that it retains the factory airbox, perfect for countries less sympathetic to tuning :-)
har også selv set på nyt indsugnings sæt til min mk8 st. måske kan mountune´s modificerede luftboks godt sniges igennem syn. har dog ikke helt den samme lyd.
We do have a OEM+ option which keeps the original airbox 👍
@@RevoHQ Is the OEM+ kit the same two silicone hoses and the crossover pipe? (Then I could simply run this kit, and then swap for the OEM airbox when going for an inspection :)
@@kristian9084 Jeg har før kun haft super tarvelige biler, så mk8 ST er min første "ordentlige" bil. Jeg vidste faktisk ikke, at reglerne var så strikse før nu. Tror du, at det er muligt at få bilen igennem med sådan et kit som dette?

Not personally, no. My car is on a modified policy which id highly recommend if you plan on modifying 👍🏼

As above, more air = more power. But unfortunately we now have ECU’s. If you run stock software the computer will likely say ‘thanks for the air, but no thanks’ and then dial back the power.
A stage 1 car (software only) is likely to produce a little above quoted figures with an uprated air intake, but to make the most of it you need software to accommodate intercooler, intake and (usually) and free flowing downpipe. This software hasn’t been released for the MK8 yet.

I dont understand how the cone filter can be better than the original? Isn't it sucking air from around the engine, which is robably hot. The OEM filter however is directly connected to the intercooler right? So how can the cone filter be better? Moreover, the Code filter is much cheaper from Material cost point of view (I do work as a cost engineer), so why did the OEM not go for it?

I wouldn’t worry about those rubber boots they don’t really do much it’ll be fine on just one no load is really on that piece just to save you some money.

Will this not suck in more hot air from the engine bay compared to a airbox from further below? Was thinking of getting a mountune airbox with revo intake tubes if that would work, but you hear so many things it’s hard to know what to believe when it comes to induction kits
Hard to tell. If the car is moving, I highly doubt there will be any heat soak at all.
If the car is stationary, it’s likely it’ll heat soak a little quicker than a closed box. That said, all intakes will heat soak eventually if the car isn’t moving.

Darrey the MK4 fiesta was produced between 1995 and 2002 - this is very much the MK8 Fiesta and not click bait in the slightest 🙄
If that's a brand new Fez you just made it worse. Over time your going to do more and more damage to the car. Send an update when it's in 30'c outside and your intake is just sucking in hot air, not only from the engine but the environment. These so called heat shields have absolutely no impact. You will destroy your engine in the long run. Ford spend millions just to make the air/fuel combination perfect and efficient. Sorry to be negative but this is the sad fact. Nice Fez anyhow.
