That is great. Should look fantastic when built. 🏁
Thank you so much for watching and leaving me a comment Nicholas! I appreciate your support. I'll get started on the kit late this month.
What a cool looking Tamiya kit! Thanks for showing it!👍
Absolutely, thanks for watching👍
Can’t wait to see the projects!
Thank you so much for your trust 😁
Looking forward to seeing it done.
Thanks Pinky, I’ll get started on it late May. I have one ahead of it right now.
That body really is stunningly clear!
I know, right? Thanks for watching Uncle, I appreciate it 👍
Wow, I'm intrigued. I built the regular 300SL I think I'llorder this clear body car.
I was pleasantly suprised in the clarity of the clear body in this kit. It will look amazing to show off the details inside. Thanks for watching!
I have the standard version of the Mercedes. I love the real cars, didn't know there was a clear kit!
It is a brand new kit from Tamiya. I’m impressed with the clarity of the clear parts. If you’re into clear body cars this is a must have.
Awesome
I like Upscale Hobby shop 👍
Can’t wait to see that clear kit build
Thanks for watching Stig and being a supporter of the hobby shop as well.
Wow they look awesome
Thanks Travis 👍
I love that merc!!❤😊
Should be cool. Thanks brother ❤️
Cool stuff!!! Look forward to the Supra and RX build. The Benz is a Great kit. I'll be watching
Thanks for watching Mike, I appreciate your support 👍
Look forward to the translucent MB build James.😊
Thanks David, it should be a quick one but super nice.
That's great James, I'm sure you'll enjoy the zero paints and thanks for the Merc unboxing. Looking forward for your upcoming projects especially Han's Veilside RX7 😊 I would suggest the LB F40 you mentioned earlier as the next future project 🙂👍🏼
Hey Karl, thanks for watching. Lots like the zero paints so I thought I’d give it a shot. The F40 is a contender 😁
Great video as always James, looking forward to seeing what you can do the this kit and if you’ll be able to work your magic on the doors/hood.
Thanks Chris, I appreciate your support bud!
Sweet kit
Thanks for watching Ronald, I totally agree!
Ive never used zero paints. Will be looking forward to what yiu think of them. I have that mercedes on order at my hobby shop. Cant wait to get it.
Hi Onix, I’m curious myself. Lots of people swear by their clear so I look forward to trying it.
I never had much luck with the Zero Primer (operator error I'm sure). But with that said I love all of their colors, you'll enjoy using them. And thanks for another great video.
Thanks DD, I’ll try the primer and paint on spoons to get a feel for it before I ruin a $200 model with it 😁
I will check them out. Love Zero paints.
I’ll be trying them out soon.
great video James
Thank you so much Sean 👍
Funnily enough, I saw this as a future release on BNA last night and thought I might get one. I keep thinking how interesting it could be to paint it from the inside, especially as there is no clean up needed on the body shell. The sink marks wouldn't be too visible though, I would think. When will you be starting this one?
I have a project ahead of the Mercedes right now. So late May I’ll get started with it. Painting from the inside would be interesting, kinda like a slot car.
That's a very nice kit, I'm sure you'll do it justice when you build it! I'm a little disappointed in your new sponsor. I went to their website and it seems they carry a lot of kits but 90% are sold out. That doesn't reflect well on you and your channel.
Hi Tom, Thanks for the feedback. I spoke with the owners of the hobby shop and they are in the process of updating their website in the near future.
That was a waste of time lol. I thought you were gonna build it
Haha a month’s worth of building in a 10 min video? Not on this channel. I wouldn’t waste your time like that.
I’m thinking it would be cool to build it as is ( invisible)! Guess u would have to invent clear primer ! Would not wanna craze that clear body painting from the inside! Or how model paint would work on clear plastic! Thanks for the early look at it JT! 🤔🫡🇺🇸
How about just a couple coats of wax on the clear body? It’s pretty shiny already… I was also thinking of smoke clear which may be interesting?
@@ScaleModelExperiment 👍🏻👀😎
To paint a clear plastic body you would first do a wet sanding with a 3200 grit and then spray it with Tamiya white or grey surface primer inside fisrt, let it dry then spray the outside two or three coats. Then your color! It will work!
Talking about painting color from the inside! Guess invisible primer! No paint on outside of body! 🤔😬🙈
