Nah -- not so much Tarantino as Hitchcock (remember him?) The motel sequence was a winking homage to "Psycho" (just what was that naughty Marion Crane up to?) A truly brilliant movie --- & yes, darling, we are all going to Hell.
Thank you for watching and the comment. Yeah, I completely agree there was also a Hitchcock inspiration to the story, but it was also very much Tarantino in its narrative structure and humor.
There was a moment very early on, within the first minute or two, where I guessed the u-turn you've mentioned, so I didn't really enjoy the actual experience of watching it from then on. Kyle Gallner is great, but I didn't care for Willa Fitzgerald's performance. But Giovanni Ribsi definitely shot a beautiful film, it looked gorgeous,
Thank you for watching and the comment. Ah, really? I honestly was mislead through the entire experience, but then I did go into this movie completely blind, I didn't watch/read a review or watch a trailer.
