5 hour build. That's about how long it use to take me to build a kit when I was young. Armor kits, I just put them together; didn't paint them, just used a dry brush and used either Testor flat tan, or Pactra's reddish brown ( for Vietnam ), to weather them. Still have a about 8 of my old built models today, that were built in the 80's and 90's. Great video Andy. I have already made my pre-order for one.
I’m working on mine currently. It’s a very fun kit to build! No major issues and I’m about 80% finished with the build. Just need to add the tools etc and she’ll be ready to paint. The link and length tracks are some of the easiest, best fitting that I’ve ever built. On par with Tamiya’s newer kits with L&L and that’s good company to be in! There are some simplifications in the kit, but for $24.99 you really can’t complain!!! If it really bothers you, the aftermarket will come to the rescue, but that kind of defeats the purpose!!
Great little kit, I just pre-ordered. Thanks for showing your painting/weathering techniques. You make it seem so simple to turn out an awesome looking model!
Andy, I guess these quick build kits are the only ones you have time for now that your business has grown so much. I appreciate them non the less! keep up the good work!
What a cracking kit and build Andy! 👏 👌 The engineering behind this kit looks to be quite exceptional, allowing an easy build yet a detailed one. I'm seriously considering ordering this one from your European site! Great video mate, thankyou. 🙏
Hope this new kit can finally replace those old crappy 70s and 90s Tamiya Panthers in hobby shops. For the same price no one will have to deal with 30 years old toolings.
I think this model is an excellent base if you want to make a ultra modified panther, like cvering it with stowage or anything, because you don't pay a lot for the model itself so you can invest a bit more on the accesories
Andy, I recently received the 1/35 Das Werk Panther I ordered from AHH. Looking forward to start building the kit. I have a couple of questions on your build of this kit. What color did you paint the underside of the hull? Did you leave it in the grey primer, airbrushed with the NATO Black or airbrushed with Dunkelgelb? Did you weather the tracks in your normal way. Thank you for posting this excellent video. Larry
Hallo Andy. Thank you for your new Video. And thank you for your Corporation whit MBK. Yor modells in 16 scale are fantastic when coult we 35 scale modeller's coult get it in ouer scal?😊. I whish i coult visit you in your brand new Shop in the states in january but i unfortunally didn't know the Bus line from Florstadt germany to Glendale USA 😢. Do you know it ?😊 All in all much luck and good glue: Michael from germany
It's for Real. The 16 scale is " That scal today" but for the most of use modeller's today a little bit to great( rooms) and to expansive. ( The wonderful solare today ) But your modells are really scored to the Upper clas . The same in 1/35 ?😝
On the finished model, it looks like the turret isn't sitting flat on the hull (bigger gap at the rear) is that a problem with the kit or is it just not seated correctly?
In the field the wheels are never camouflage, they are all solid body color or all solid color of the camo. Think about it, if you seen that rolling through the woods it would be like a huge kaleidoscope. The goal was to to remain hidden, not to draw attention. But a very good build and kit.
Andy. anther informative video on an excellent kit. Very reasonable cost. Actually I just ordered one of these kits off your website this morning. I’m hoping forward to building, painting an d weathering the kit. What brand airbrush and needle size did you use for the airbrushing of the camouflage colors? Thank you for posting the video. Larry
I only wish the tracks looked correct with the holes in the guide teeth alas that would only add to the cost thus negating the price point. Still defo grab the kit when out here in the UK.
I’m building this kit now: I have years of experience and I love Andy- watched his build and MKB’s build videos: THIS IS NOT A KIT FOR BEGINNERS! Plastic is WAY TO SOFT. The upper hull “flex’s” like crazy. It LOOKS SOLID AND FIRM in the builds seen. It is NOT. Even with mild alcohol wipes- the stuff is “slippery”- with clean hands and multiple types of tweezers. The instructions ARE NOT GOOD- NOT COMPLETE AND THE COPPER TOW CABLES WILL TAKE YOU AN HOUR TO FIT. Andy didn’t show this- and only used ONE CABLE- MKB didn’t use the cables at all! It’s not about “speed” per se: We all create our own “what and when to paint” aspects. Dry fitting and working out a more complete detail painting of road wheels and tracks- what may have you- Idea is a New Kit, new mold, better detail and fit etc. Experience in German armor builds is a MUST here- to end up with what this kit is supposed to BE: Solid, low part count- equals more time to detail etc. again very POOR INSTRUCTIONS HERE. Frankly- to build this thing right- I’d have spent a LESS “aggravated time” on a Tamiya/Dragon/Italeri/Acadamy kit… This is my first Das Werk/Takkon kit- this far into the build- I regret buying it. Regardless of its initial release price- great packaging the rest is so-so.
Certainly a great kit for beginners. The final product looks amazing .
Good stuff Andy. A rival for the aged Tamiya Panther!
Absolutely

Well made and fantastic kit. Sometimes it's nice to build a detailed simple kit like that rather than one with many dozens more pieces.
It sure is!
Yes, thats what I want, I love the hobby but I dont have the time for time consuming builds.
@@Absaalookemensch exactly this 👍🏻
All I can say is wow! The simplicity is an excellent selling point.
That's why I avoid Miniart kits too detailed for me.
We, LOVE the build videosssss!!!!! Andy you are amazing.
Fantastic build and paint job!
Wow it's so simple, and looks fun to build ❤
Ordered mine. Can't wait to get it.
A great idea and implementation. Excellent to have quick and detailed and full interior kits available.
The kit looks great. Thanks and well done Andy.
Отлично , тоже себе такой заказал))) много пантер не бывает)
Great looking model, love the weathering 👍🏻
Locks very nice. Thx for showing

Just ordered - thanks for build review!
Great little kit, I just pre-ordered. Thanks for showing your painting/weathering techniques. You make it seem so simple to turn out an awesome looking model!
Wow großartiger Bausatz für 24,99€ und wirklich ein fantastisches Ergebnis für 5h Stunden Arbeit!
Andy, I guess these quick build kits are the only ones you have time for now that your business has grown so much. I appreciate them non the less! keep up the good work!
Looks great Andy, thanks for sharing 😊

Wow Andy great build!!!!!

Way to go a nice job, really like the camouflage.Have to pick up that kit. That's pretty good.Always enjoy watching your videos.Keep up the good work
Wow Panthers on Tamiya's lawn! Time for a new release of a tamiya Panther A

Nice kit
Looks a lot easier than what I've been doing 😊, from South Carolina
love it!
Great job on the panther g
Great value
Hope this new kit can finally replace those old crappy 70s and 90s Tamiya Panthers in hobby shops. For the same price no one will have to deal with 30 years old toolings.
Outrageous how most online realtors still charge $40+ for kits with vinyl tracks😒
But … but … muh nostalgiaz …
That old Tamiya boxofshite needs to be retired, along with pretty much all there stuff up to the 90s.
The cleaning rod tube is upside down, looks a great kit for beginners and for anyone really.
I wasn't going to get another panther, but i think i have to now...also to support the guys of mbk/ das Werk
I think this model is an excellent base if you want to make a ultra modified panther, like cvering it with stowage or anything, because you don't pay a lot for the model itself so you can invest a bit more on the accesories
This obviously would be a great first armor kit for a transitioning airplane modeler or a new modeler.

Waiting for mine . . . plus the M113
What a wonderful build. I probably would opt to switch out the plastic tracks for metal, just sayin Andy. Otherwise a terrific build.

Das Werk, in collaboration with Takom? It seems a Tamiya kit, actually! 😏

Great pricing!
Hello Andy. That is great work! Thank you! Was wondering if you'd do commission work for q/16 tanks? 😊
"Ask me how I know" 🤣
I only wish the tracks looked correct with the holes in the guide teeth alas that would only add to the cost thus negating the price point. Still defo grab the kit when out here in the UK.
Hi Andy, just love watching you build all the WWII tanks. Would you recommend this kit even for a beginner and haven't build any models?
Quick question. Can I spray Matt varnish over oil wash, without any complications?
*One of my favorite tanks to play on War Thunder. :) Gorgeous model.*
I may be mistaken bur the gun cleaning rod part looks to be upside down. Again, I could be mistaken.
At 30 min the music starts lol.
Excuse my ignorance, but did you weather the tracks in situ?
No music?
Starts at 30:05
Any update on the M113?
The shipping has issued without explanation ,another week delay,
he andy i am missing the andy-buildfeel,without the classic music in the background
Wouldn't it be nice if someone applied this technology to 1:16.
Those paints don't seem to spray very well. The tamiya paint in your older videos looks to be easier to spray.
Shame as every seller in the UK is quoting Feb 2025 and £30.00 plus.
Wow not seen a build vid from u for ages . Thought u had forgot how to. Start doing more build vids again .

Where’s the fun if it only takes three hours to build?
...vs "kits are to complicated and to expensive this days" 😂
No music?
