She didn't resign, she was stood down.........
She resigned because she could not carry out the policies which she said were the reasons she was elevated to the position of leader and hence PM. to be elevated to being the leader of the party she should have been trying to bring about the policies for which the party pledged they would do. This was in their election manifesto. Being made PM meant that she had the power to ensure they were carried out.
Liz Truss came, queen died, country broke down, Liz Truss left. Good job.
