@@aileronhelicopters Hi, if you are familiar with these copters would you mind telling us how the differ and what the strengths and weaknesses of each are (xet and turbine helicycle)
What exactly is done to “derate” the horsepower on this engine. Do you as a builder have the option or ability to adjust the derating to fit your desires? Thanks
On the fuel control youll see a small lever connected to the servo motor that controls the engine speed. Theres an adjustment screw for the max fuel setting. So yes in theory you can turn the horspower up. From what I'm told BJ Schramm designed the main rotor gearbox around a 100hp number. That's why they're derated. I'm currently building my helicycle and the flying machines seem to be pretty sporty at this horspower.
Hello James! I am talking with the Helicycle folks in NM and seriously considering a purchase. Do you mind helping me to understand the process as you are experiencing it? Would love to ask you some questions, not sure if this is the best platform though? What are your thoughts?
Hi Fred, no problem. I think calling me would work better or emailing me as well on my personal email. Not sure how to send my number to you. I don’t know how to do it privately.
No, I never consider the mosquito because at that time they didn’t have the turbine. I would now but would have to do more research on it. I did sell my black helicycle and loved it and now building my second with some different mods like the bigger front windscreen. I really like the helicycle and how it flys and I am very familiar with it.
Man that's purty! Love the helicycle videos. Interested to see what the visibility is with the thinner pillars. Nice work.
Thank you so much. I appreciate that. The visibility is such an improvement. Be safe…
Really cool man. Pretty cool you're able to have a VTOL in your arsenal.
Thank you so much, I appreciate you watching the video. Be safe.
I was building these Helicopters.... Now I'm working for MD Helicopters Inc
It's defeated to 100hp not 90.. remember mosquito xet is lighter than helicycle and mosquito has 100hp.. so helicycle was increased to 100hp too

Very beautiful
Thanks, It was a lot of fun to complete. Thanks again and be safe.
Do you still have the other helicycle?
I sold it a while ago and decided to build my second Helicycle with a few mods.
