We have a visual timer and this has reminded me I need to use it more. Your videos are so good. It’s rare to find this quality on TH-cam - thank you for making them even though you must be super busy!
As much as this was fun to watch, im sending a huge warm hug to you for everything you for us. My kids are the same age as yours and i have no one to turn to but you. Thankyou for all you do. Bless 🙏🏽
I’m glad you figured out a bedtime routine that works best for you and Alina! This regression that she’s doing is very common in little kids when there’s a new sibling since they see they’re no longer the only one getting attention from their carers, and hopefully soon this regression will pass
Thanks for sharing your timer ⏱️ I used a digital one with just numbers, but think the visual one will work much better. And especially love your suggestion of having a clear ending to the bedtime routine so they feel loved but know it’s really the real end :)
Thank you for the video. Would you consider doing a video on bilingual parenting? I am very interested in your aproach regarding this topic. Thank you!
your channel has been a huge help to me as i’ve raised my two year old, thank you!! a few videos i have gone back to again and again to rewatch what you’ve done. i remember you sharing that Alina plays in her room, even on the day you slept in accidentally, she waited for you! have you considered or ever used an “okay to wake” clock? i’ve wondered if you’ve needed it at all, with your montessori based philosophy. thanks for your thoughts!!
It’s crazy how our situation is so similar and that our bedtime routine is also similar too! Even tho I’m not full on Montessori parent. The difference is when we pray is usually at the beginning of our lay down time together, and then we do all the calm chat, quiet giggles & cuddles for 10mins. Then it’s time to kiss good night with my daughter.
I love your videos as a mom of a toddler. I am concerned about how much of your child was shown during the shower since online predators may be looking for those kinds of images. I would like to continue to watch your channel and am wondering if this could be considered when posting content? Thank you for all of your wonderful Montessori ideas. I love incorporating these with my son.
Absolutely love your videos. They are so inspiring and I’ve been watching and following for a while! Just wondering if you can do a video where you show your routines but with the both kids - just wondering how you balance your baby’s needs and Alina? Maybe I’ve just let my children have too much of me and so they demand it all the time 😅
Thank you for this video. I have a newborn of 3 months. I can’t imagine having to care for a toddler at the same time. Where is the baby when you spend time with your daughter like shower and night reading?
Hello. Tank you so much for sharing ur video. Much appreciated. I would like to refer to a bedtime previous video you did with Alina when she was 1year old. I happen to see a small bath tube that you used for her in your video. I wonder if you could advise where you got it from? Many thanks
I love ur videos and the ideas u give us thank you very much Can you please tell us how u taught ur toddler to hang her clothes and then take them off again!? My 18 months old pulls them down so hard I’m worried the hanger will fall off 😅 I don’t know what to do
Omg I love this! Our nighttime routines are so bad rn 😢this is inspiring! Did I miss the tooth brushing? Can you share about that pleas!!!!!!!! That’s our big struggle sad😢
Where did you get your water table? I like that it’s large and has shallow and deep ends. I am enjoying your videos immensely. I have a 7, 5 and 10 month old in a tiny house (700sq ft) and am looking forward to implementing Montessori design in the new house (3000 sq ft). Should be done by March 2024!
Love your channel! ❤ I have 2.5 year old daughter. Where do you get her winter pyjamas? Her room is pretty cold in winter and she is not staying under cover.
Hi Hazie, I've been watching alot of your videos, I have a daughter who's a little over 3 years too.. seeing your routine and Montessori video is soo relaxing.. i have 2 questions if you dont mind answering, I understand you have alot on your plate with a newborn and toddler but if you can please take sometime to help me here, i would really be greatful 1. Whats time does your daughter wake up, how long is the naptime and when is the bedtime - ive recently started sending my daughter to Montessori and i see the routine is way upside down and need any advise to set it right 2. I'm soo happy to see Alina eats soo well all by herself, im struggling with food time for my daughter, she totally refuses to eat. I let her prep and choose where she wanna eat and to some extent give her choice of food as well but she's totally refusing and has become very stressful - any tips will be a huge huge huge help please
I would like to know more about the rest os the routine as well. My daughter is a few days older then Alina and we have been struggling with bedtime on most days. She used to be able to sleep alone a few months ago, but after a particular day when there were to much noise from the neighbors she started calling me out every 2-3 minutes to "help" with something and eventually I gave up and got back to staying with her untill she fell asleep. Now I am trying to go back to independent sleep and it's been difficult. I love your videos, they inspire me a lot! Thank you so much!
Hi thanks for your comment. First of all I must let you know im not an expert so I feel really cautious about giving you any advice here. And this video is a really polished version of our life so it doesnt always go so smooth like this, in fact, as I mention in the beginning of the video, it can be really stressful just like yours. But I will do my best to answer your questions 😊 Alina wakes up at around 6-7am. Nap time is different everyday. She goes to childcare Mon- Friday. Some days she doesn't take a nap and some days she does. On the days she doesn't take a nap, she goes to bed early like around 7pm. If she takes a nap, she goes to bed around 8pm. Our bedtime routine is still the same regardless of the bedtime. I'd leave the room at the end of the bedtime routine (even if she cries and resists) and let her fall asleep independently when she's tired. One thing I can tell is I try to be really consistent with our bedtime routine and I think it does help. In regards to eating time, honestly, it sounds like you're doing all the right things. I cannot think of anything else you can do more. In our home, if Alina refuses to eat, she refuses to eat. I just clean up and that's it. And if she says she's hungry and wants to eat later, I wouldn't give her anything until the next meal time. I know it sounds harsh but this is to let her learn the consequences of her action and mum cooks only for mealtime. I believe kids will eat when they're hungry. FYI, Alina is having her favourite meal in the video, natto rice with seaweed, that's why she eats so well all by herself. She does refuse to eat time to time and she asks me to feed her and do all the things that would make me frustrated just like every other kids lol. I hope this helps and sorry if it didn't. Motherhood is hard isnt it, but you're doing great. Sending you lots of love xx
@@hazieandmotherhood Hi, thank you soo much for writing back to me.. I understand and you are only sharing things that have worked for you.. but thats wat helps alot of times.. mother's can to some extent surely help mother's.. thanks again for writing back.. Your videos really give joy and keeps me motivated to keep trying new things
would you mind sharing why you changed the floor bed to this cute pink bed for Alina? I wanna try the floor bed but saw you have changed it, wanna know if it's because the floor bed didn't work well?
super curious if you had done any sleep training for either kiddos? sorry if I had missed that part - FTM here to 6mo and we recently transitioned baby to her own room - but between teething, growth spurt and travel sleep has been crappy and she wont go down in her floor bed without me (and i haven’t been able to roll away yet) Curious what your thoughts are on sleep training within montessori teachings. Thanks!! ❤
How do you respond when you indicate the next step of routine and they shout NO or say I don't want to? My boy pushes back on nearly every step of the routine and it gets so frustrating. Going to try visual timer - we've used Google timer and it worked for a while but less now.
Hi. A question please: does Alina sleep in total darkness, or does she sleep with a night light? If the latter, when did you start or do you know if a night light will be better or not?
Alina sleeps with a night light. In our experience, she won't sleep without it. She gets scared and tends to linger by the door, calling out. We've found this light helpful-it's adjustable and has Bluetooth capabilities for changing the light setting: amzn.to/3sLZ4qC

Wow! I'm amazed at how you're managing a newborn while making quality time with your toddler and also filming videos!
This was a fun watch. :)
Love that timer! Giving kids notice of what’s going to happen and a visual way to see how long they have is such a good idea!
1:29 you could use a small bucket or a tray at the wardrobe. So Alina can put the sand directly into it without a huge mess. We did this at daycare :)

*rushes to buy the visual timer* - totally sold by your video! Thanks Hazie!
Love how she swaddled her toys like a baby. Someone has been watching momma care for baby Elijah!
I'm learning alot from your videos, my wife and I have a newborn but we're taking all the notes we can to prepare!
Using a visual timer is such a brilliant idea 💡 thanks for sharing!!!

Brilliant idea with the timer. I'll try to use something like this as my LO gets older. Thanks for showing us your routine!
You're an incredible mum. ❤

I appreciate your clear, common sense approach. These tips and routines really make a difference ❤ Thank you

That is amazing. I fell so bad. I overprotect my daughter. I realize that now.
Thank you for the lovely content! Purchasing a timer right now! wish me luck haha

Wondering too!
You can pray with and without religion.
