Yes, let customer service know about the graphing issue. On top of that, you can use the RS2 app to report the 5160RS graphing issue due to the last update. This information will go right to our R&D team with your 5160RS' current Firmware, Bootloader, and Database versions, so they can look into it. You can find this information in the "Menu" under "Firmware Version" in the 5160RS. In the RS2 app, tap "Settings" on the bottom right corner, then scroll all the way down to the last option "Data Capture". Tap on "Data Capture Mode" to enter. You can explain the situation with the 5160RS from the last update, then provide the current Firmware, Bootloader, and Database versions. It will ask for your "Tool ID" as well which is right there in the "Menu" under "Firmware Version" at the top. Then, send it via email right to the R&D department.
Updates are not lifetime due to the fact hardware upgrades will be needed in the distant future, and OBD3 could be implemented eventually. The updates will be free and for a long time, but not for life
Yes, the 5610 and 5160RS models will read misfire count data in OEM Live Data and in the "Menu" under "System Tests". The OEM live data will give you a lot more misfire count data that is easier to read. To access "OEM Live Data", go into the "System Status Menu", select "OEM", the press the "LD" button (Live Data). In System Tests, you'll need to know the hexadecimal number to read misfire count data properly.
I just got a replacement from amazon and it connects perfectly. I was trying to see if their was an update. its obvious amazon is reselling and sending defective scanners. and innova could care less. innova should step up their game when it comes to QC.
Thanks for letting us know. What model do you have? We will need to speak with Amazon again about this issue as it happened last year often, especially with our 5610 model. This is an issue with Amazon, not Innova and our QC department. Amazon is the one shipping used products from their facilities. We had this problem last year with Amazon selling used 5610s as new. We tracked this by putting seals on a certain amounts of 5610s before shipping to Amazon. If a customer purchased a "New" 5610 from Amazon, some would receive a 5610 with a broken seal. This proved that Amazon was selling some used 5610s under "New" because a new 5610 wouldn't have a ripped seal that looked like it was cut. As the complaints drastically went down, we stopped with the seals on the 5610s.
Here is a link to our scanner updating page: innova-electronics.helpscoutdocs.com/article/2036-innova-obd2-scan-tool-updates Click on the "Windows" (PC) link or MAC link, depending on which type of desktop or laptop you're using. Click on it to start the update. You'll get a message when complete and safe to disconnect.

The 5610 is bi-directional! can you update the software of the car using 5610?
Unfortunately, the 5610 will not update the software of the car or program any modules.
Are lifetime updates ?
Updates are not lifetime due to the fact hardware upgrades will be needed in the distant future, and OBD3 could be implemented eventually. The updates will be free and for a long time, but not for life
Where does one find and buy the 5610 VERSION 2. USB SUPPORT. ?
Amazon or TikTok shop
It's on sale for $241 right now on amazon. It is the 5610 Version 2. Amazon hasn't updated the photo to show the V2 below the 5610.
Thank you.
5610 vs sds50? Any thoughts.
