I never named India- you did. Have you ever been to Sri Lanka to know what I'm comparing? You should experience it- even Indians will love it. Jaffna is one of the lower economy towns - you wouldn't think it by looking at it. Sri Lanka exceeded and went toe to toe with western standards and the surprise is that it's not a superpower, so how did they keep up with it all?. I'll eventually be sharing a shocking first impressions video..

Gee, that Archie green food court appears great w readily done home cooked authentic local folks- most, to my knowledge+ other vlogs, are originalJaffna Tamil's own speciality dishes & best part is pennies a piece( seems less than half of most SL) I would've grabbed 10 plates full if take out also allowed. Rest of video,superb Nallur & snippets of Jaffna & that 5* hotel all get big wow.
South India is pretty much the same as this. Same customs, same dresses. Same everything. Especially Kerala. India is big, what most see is the North which is crazy. The east and south is a different world.

That is so cool seeing a non native there eating with your bare hands! Many westerners think its dirty but really wash your hands before eating and dun get dirty nails and its all good! People have been eating just with hands for eons without issue haha

I am happy that you are focusing on these beautiful areas. If you look at Sri Lanka the North, North western and the Eastern provinces are neglected by the Government. These places are systematically deprived of development Yet there are very beautiful areas and beaches to see. If you look at SL where the Minorities live then you can see one thing for sure. That is all these areas are the poorest in the country as they are underdeveloped. The government of SL is least bothered and they always look at everything based on Racial Lines. They are 100 years behind modern society. Only private investors and Diasporas invest in these areas. Now the tourists from India and other western countries are getting interested because of people like you showing these parts of the country. Now there is a very good potential that many tourists can come from India and other countries. These places are much cheaper than Colombo, and many other areas. There are also less tourist Scammers and less crime, Pollution I am sure. So Tourists can enjoy peaceful days. I used to live in SO many years ago but now I live in Europe for many years including Germany. Your videos are bringing focus of these provinces and lets hope it will bring more tourists so that the marginalized people of SL can serve the tourists and earn a decent living without becoming Greedy

Hi Grrrrltravler! I'm new to your channel and subscribed because your adventures look very realistic. Question I see a lot of TH-camrs just hop around from City to city when they go to a new country. I want to arrive in a country and not hop too much from city to city because this will be my start to solo traveling. Do you think if I visit a country and limit my self to a certain number of city at a time I'll miss out alot? I'm nervous of going from one location to the next and getting lost or overwhelmed since this will be my first time. I'm planning on going to Thailand for my first solo.
You could always join my Thailand group tour next year where I’ll be breaking that issue down so soloists feel more comfortable taking transportation. 😉 But otherwise- Do you. Always. THAILAND is one of the easier countries to navigate solo in. Watch my Getting Around THAILAND vid where I use all the transport.
Some shots are fast. It is possible to stop the video and watch. I did that. If one does not want to watch the video and wants to watch it, it is not the best visual enjoyment. However, I understand that in terms of saving time when you want to make a shorter video, you can also shoot fast shots to show more in less time. If you regularly watch videos on TH-cam, you will definitely prefer shorter ones. If you watch only one TH-cam channel, you can also watch longer videos of your favorite creator.

Thailand is a very safe country. If you travel, get most out of it by traveling to city to city. Sri Lanka is a very safe country too.
