@@avesta5390 You keep singing , join as many choirs as possible , just never stop singing , it's GREAT for the soul regardless of if we are paid or earn the respect of other accomplished musicians , it is our DIVINE right to express and vibrate in this way and one of the fastest ways to connect to everything , Music , the best language in the world ;D
Tony Pike Fantastic May we PLEASE have more I detected a couple of bars towards the end from "Lullaby in Birdland" The performance reminded me of a concert in West Road a few years ago when Maestro Layton was in a similar "get with it" mood
I was looking forward to this. However, I am disappointed, because of the "jazziness" of the music that seems to be anachronistic with the solemn Easter celebration. That is only my opinion. Happy Easter, a time of rebirth and renewal! 🙏
Alan von Au***** I think one important thing to remember is that this was recorded a while ago since choirs and people couldn’t get together to rejoice this year. I’m just grateful that they are able to share their gift of music this Easter even if it’s online and an interesting song choice!
Remember when people actually had respect for a church? Typical C of E reduction of a liturgical sanctuary into a performing arts Center. Very sad. But not unexpected.
Tis true, perhaps more than enough come into God's Holy Temple Building without a sense of quiet awe. Their lack of reverence reduces a possible greater Holy connection to God to no more than a society meeting . Before anyone knows it, The Liturgy will be in English and non scripture songs will be sung with instrumentation. Oh, too late. All by the Church of England, too. However, I have witnessed this choir seriously participating in their devotion & worship. They gladly share their craft with others. For me, they have lit their lanterns and are shouting from the rooftop. Jesus said, "These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full".
William Campagna That's the venue in which they rehearse, perform and record. There was obviously no audience or congregation present. Anybody listening to the recording (assuming a release on CD at some future date) wouldn't even know where it was recorded. And this is not the repertoire that they would perform in an act of worship in there, though they would include in concerts that they give in venues (particularly secular ones) all over the world.
That is their rehearsal venue and often their recording venue. This was clearly part of a recording session, not an act of worship. This choir performs a broad repertoire including secular music, in venues sacred and secular. You may object, but you won't change things.
Frighteningly good- how far have Collegiate choirs come since their beginnings!
If the results of that recording session were released as an album, I would most certainly buy it.
Sounds great and amazing. Thank you all.
That was the absolute BEST version of that tune I've ever come across since the days of Duke Ellington. Absolutely top notch!
Quel hommage à Duke Ellington ! MERVEILLEUX !!!!
Great ! I recognised Owain Park - Bass!! This is such an unexpected musical treat, thanks for sharing Jeremy.
It sounds like I'm in a magical choir, and I'm also learning this song for my concert, sounds amazing keep up the good work❤

I did not get an offer. :(

Energetic, but lacks the laid-back quality this kind of music needs . . .
It's a bit precious.

Easter is also meant to be a celebration.

Oh bore off will you, it is their own chapel after all. Also chapel not church by the way.

The wrong music in this place. It's not good to mix profanum with sacrum. Jesus, I trust in Thee +
