The adapter is for cylindrical stock. Also start the cut on an edge of the material not straight down into a flat side, it will produce a better cut and give the blade a better life.
Just started using mine, 14". Proceded to ruin 2 blades by incorrectly using the saw. I did not leave enough selvage beyond the blade causing the blade to grab the work and remove it from my shop!.I contacted Evolution and they not only informed me of my error but sent me a new blade. Great customer service. I do mostly farm work.
If you want your blades to last longer I recommend you read the booklet that came with the saw on material positioning before you cut. Never cut horizontal pieces unless there is no other option.
I'm considering replacing my abrasive saw with this specifically for cutting horizontal material. I generally drill a small hole in the material where the blade starts cutting to speed the process.
It is a bit tricky to position a hollow square 100x100x10 in a diamond shape and then cut the mitre angle. Yes, the saw is struggling a bit with the bottom wall, but it is able to cut it well and super safe, as the process is already happening inside the profile - so you are supersafe. Besides, blades are consumables, these will not last you a lifetime. I was particularly impressed how it cuts 150x150x10 angles - zero issues. I love this tool.
I got my evolution saw two month ago, and i am very happy with it. I am busy now, to build a new wheeltable for my TIG welding equipment, the saw helps me al lot.
ended up getting an evolution steel cutting blade for my Ryobi cordless miter saw and it works like a dream! though I did fashion up a clamp and jig for it, it works wonders without having to take up space for another saw.
I’ve had this saw for a couple weeks and it is awesome! The cuts are super smooth and it leaves little to no burrs. Parts fit up perfectly after cutting. My only complaint is that there are no positive stops on the miter adjustment, and the only way to get this feature is by spending $100 more for the next model in the Evolution lineup
I like heavy metal now and again, who doesn't. These specific cutting saw are really nice. Make certain tasks so much easier than trying to do something with saws or tools for that mater to adapt to something it wasn't made for. Nice video as always 👍.
We have the old model at the shop I work at. It gets used 2-7 hours a day 5 days a week and keeps on being a beast. 90% of the time for 45s we just throw a spacer block behind the workpiece. my only complaint is blades are $80 a pop and it takes a man to run it, unlike the bandsaw that can be walked away from.
It cuts very clean and does it quickly. It is a pain in the ass that it isn't dead accurate on the degree of angle on the cut but, I could probably modify it to be dead on without much hassle. Overall, a great value.
Great video, I have a Stilh concrete saw and used some carbide blades for cutting steel pipe it was slow do they make a blade steel cutting blade for 5600 rpm machine
Can you please provide a link to where I can buy this sawblade only online and or what model number or part number the shown blade is? Here in Cyprus the hardware stores only use abrasive cutting disks. This is the first time I saw that these disks with teath that can cut steel exist.
Just a question in general. We have a sliding chop saw that we use to cut metal at work. The one foreman always says we need to slide the blade all the way forward and cut the metal from front to back. So far this has resulted in metal being pulled into the saw and being shot across the room. Also it destroys saw blades after about 10 cuts. Am I wrong in thinking we are supposed to cut straight down? We are cutting 2" U channel about 1/8" thick. Also there is no clamp on our saw.
I cut wood like that, but I always cut my metal straight down. I guess it could help save the wheel a bit, but a lot of chop saws don't slide, so you would have to do it like this anyway
I know this is an older video but I have the same saw and my complaint is - the saw blade is not square to the base and there is no way to adjust the blade. I found this out when I tried to use a fixture table to make a frame and the cuts were off about 2/16 of an inch. Not much but it is annoying not having a way to adjust that out. I contacted evolution and since I couldn’t find my receipt they basically told me to pound sand even though I’m sure I registered the saw on their web site. So if you buy ANY saw from them check the accuracy first thing and put your receipt in a safety deposit box at the bank.
Can you say anything about blade lifetime? In German amazon people doesn't write good about it, at least for the stainless steel one. After 10 cuts it cannot cut anymore... Other writing about 20 maybe 30 cuts. But anyway doesn't sound good. What is about the mild steel like on your video?
I have ordered one, tired of that black dust from the abrasive wheel cutter. I hate to wear a filter mask so the new saw will make cutting metal much healthier.
@@LukasZ92. ok I made not too many cuts ,but i m thinking in to grind the blade ,i made about 200 /300 cuts in 75*75*3 carbon still and beging to loose the sharp and really hard right now to cut metal ,i was a little disappointed now i heard about the diablo saw and is wide better ,but you bust to see the one who is according the revolution from this evolution machine ,regards 👍.
Most of the cuts are done wrong. Check out Evolution's YT channel for advice on how to properly cut different types of materials in order to prolong the life of your blade.
That is called a cold cut blade which means no fluids to cool. That's a good saw but evo miter saw I use at work Quality Welding and Fabrication daily is The Beast. Up to 45 both ways with slide . I have jammed evo blade and took silver dollar size chunk out of blade. Steel Demon better blade but doesn't last as long. We resharpen our blades evo around 10 or 12 Steel Demon maybe 8 or 9 resharpen. 7:197:19
Yo TRZ! I'm hoping to build a small overland tow behind trailer for my jeep this summer so I'm going to need to cut some metal. I may consider this one, thanks brother! Hope all is well and your staying safe. Once again great vid!!
I've seen an ad for this welding flux that is supposed to be easy to melt/bond with a comman blowtorch. Have you heard of this yet and if so I think it would male a.great vid. It's also supposed to be a stronger weld than traditional methods. If you want to be my BBF then make the vid! Lol!!!
Amos, it’s pretty bad but the worst is out west of where I live, I live in a small town which I’m glad I moved out of the suburbs of the the city areas two years ago, we have cases within the county where I live but no known cases within the town I live in.
the negative reviews say it all. this was a good saw. it isn't now. crap shoot if you get a defective unit and the angle is off - so what's the purpose? why not cut freehand with an angle grinder? fake review. this is a commercial.

One of the best Saw in the World
2:04 you have 2 cross screws to loosen and adjust/line up degrees scale
Krystian Krychu as on most mitre saws and it seams most people aren’t aware. If your going to make a cut you may as we’ll make it true. 👍
Does that long tightening screw have ACME thread ? Regular threaded rod wears out easily.

brand new gloves?
What type of generator will 🏃 it?
So,,all these new metal cutting blades are designed for lower rpm motors? Or can they be used on conventional wood cutting saws?
Nope, I burnt a blade up doing that. I put it on the same saw that I used for an abrasive blade. Did not last long, you need the slower turning saw
The Diablo blades can go on the wood cutting saws. The Evolution circular saw review I did last week is also a higher rmp.
Yikes! Nope be sure to check operation RPM on your power tool and compare to max recommendation RPM on your blades or cutt off wheels always, always!
@@ToolReviewZone which diablo blades? Cannot find it (I am from Austria)

Would the diablo demon metal blade work better with this saw?

I am torn between the 14 inch chop saws they have I was looking at the rage 2 and this saw and the EvoSaw380 15 inch and the R355CPS
I saw Skil saw has a saw like this, how do they compare?
I haven't tried the Skil, so I really can't give you an honest opinion on it Tyron

You sound like billy maze with your "slicing and dicing"
Use diablo 72 teeth or twin town blade.
Do you have a link?

I have them same firm grip gloves they fall apart in the wash which sucks
You can adjust both pivots and get a perfect 45 this guy just doesn't know what he's doing yet .he needs a little bit more time with the saw
