So, from what I can gather about the Dracula album: Back in 2007 or 2008, I was a theatre kid learning German and found the Graz album (Kröger, Borchert, Liechty) (go watch the pro-shot), on some sort of precursor to Spotify. Loved it. Much later, I heard bootleg audio of the OBC (an earlier version of the show). I also really like that. It's very stylistically different. The vibe is more classical, whereas the vibe of the Graz album is more alt./rockish (Zu Ende (It's Over) is a more rock-y piece for Dracula and van Helsing). The different styles do different things. The American studio album is far more in line with the Graz version -- which was far more successful. That said, vampire musicals do better in Europe anyway. Tanz der Vampire (Dance of the Vampires) is a major classic from the 90s (it and Elisabeth are the biggest Austrian-premiered musicals I know of). Not sure about any details, but it does look like the studio album was a stepping stone to figuring out how Wildhorn and whoever else wanted to change it.
She's an angel. I would give anything for a voice like that.
Completely obsessed with her voice. :)
