I'm afraid you don't seem to know South African history.
When Elon Musk was a boy in South Africa, the white Nationalist (apartheid) government was actually waging very bloody wars against "Communist" forces in Angola and Mosambique.
Many young white concripts of Elon Musk's generation died in a war they did not really understand.
Many of those who survived deadly battles against "Communists" later committed suicide, or are still suffering from PTSD in their old age.
(Much like the US soldiers who were used as cannon fodder in Vietnam, for instance. Or Iraq and Afghanistan, for that matter.)
Your comment can be excused by your ignorance.
But it serves as a hurtful insult to all those young men who thought they were fighting for a just cause until the US abandoned its support for them,
They might have been misled by the politics of their time, but as human beings they suffered the consequences of a war against Russia just the same.

@@MichaelWinter-ss6lx Nonsense. Countries all over the world whose economies are exclusively capitalistic regulate corporations and sectors of the economy. The USA did it too, breaking up and prohibiting monopolies because it quickly became apparent that they can and do "hold citizens hostage" to the detriment of the public good. There's always a balance to be struck, of course, but those scales have been tipped in America for decades, largely the result of lobbying and the dependence of political parties on corporate money. The Citizens United case also dramatically changed the game. Just because it's creeped way over to one side, doesn't mean that it has to stay there, that it's the only or best way. For such a feisty, outspoken people committed to individual rights and pursuit of happiness, Americans have been bizarrely complacent and compliant to the will of corporate interests. They've bought into the bogus boogie man corporations and corrupt politicians have put up, calling anything but a direct flow of the majority of wealth into those pockets "communism" and unAmerican. It's nothing of the sort. Just take a moment to look at history, pre- and post-McCarthism, pre- and post-Reagan, pre- and post-Citizens United. In each case you'll see that the standard of living of the majority declined and the wealth gap increased after those junctures; the before will show you comparators for how things could be while still allowing plenty of (in fact, more) opportunity for innovation, employment, and wealth creation. Hands off self-regulating markets is a myth; as is trickle-down economics. They work 0% of the time.

However, they tend to be capitalist nomad, moving to countries that treat them well. Think of footballers who have changed citizenshp due to the high taxes in their original countries. So then gov will be left with limited high earning tax payers which is bad for government. Especailly for international companies, there are so much tax evasive strategies to direct money from profits to company needed "expenditures" and siphon the funds of to a less taxed countries. Even if you dont, elon's worth comes from his assets, namely his equity in his companies which are based on their evaluation. how can you limit high worth asset unless you want the government to start confiscating properties, stocks from everyone.

He's been involved with building China's first modern aircraft carrier and CEO of China's primary shipbuilding company. His company was officially private but was contracted under the Chinese military branch. Due to negligent oversight, his company became a hotbed of corruption in many many forms. Despite multiple warnings and minor penalties, ill practices kept spreading, leading to billions of Yuan's being lost and classified intel of new military hardware being leaked.
The US is now dealing with someone that considers himself more important and suited to make snap decisions on global scale, someone speaking with Russian and Chinese officials on a regular base and with access to US military intel.
