The interaction after 6:30 is as real and cool as it gets---Live and its Happening, and they still come together like nothing happened. Mark of Pros and Friends.
Love that little bit of real life. They aren't just a well oiled machine. And, how doesn't love a band who plays these Layla songs with such love like they were written only last week?
A couple during this song, yes? Appear to be working the kinks out here. LOTS of non-verbals, and a couple of verbals, and Tedeschi normally a VERY confident guitar player, seems a little out of sync here (although sounds great) - until the vocals. Then she lights up and all is well again in TTB.
@@davidcarter2720 Saw them on 7/16 in NH and being in front row could for the first time really see their interaction. They are a smaller band by over half than the TTB we are used to with the double drums and horn section and back up singers. This is what a smaller band does when improvising: little looks, tilts of the head, a smile, a nod. All indicating a next move.
Gee. They finally made a mistake. Happens in the best of bands. I played 35 years, so I am an expert on making mistakes! New players. Takes stage experience to get tight. Still sounds darn GOOD!!

That solo at the 5 min. mark is unreal. Derek is the best on the planet right now. No question.
Awesome solo here and nice recovery!
I’ve seen them twice and I hope to see them again.. peace and love ❤️
Derek's playing is just insane, in this song!
This is one slide Gutarist I can whole heartedly say is way many times better than I on slide "Anyday"
They're fantastic!
Just gotta say that Susan, along with being a top tier singer and fine player, wears some right fine dresses!
Wow 9:16 awesome phrase there
But Derek's solos were nevertheless inspired and inspiring
Wow, they screwed up. First time I've ever seed TTB do that. l bet Derek makes them run laps at tomorrows practice.
it wwas HIS bad lol

It was that dumb clear baffle that wouldn't stay upright that threw it all out of sync!
👍👍👍❤
I miss their regular touring band.
🔥
it's only rock and roll, dopey things happens and no one cares.
