Once, our teacher asked every student in the class about their political affiliation. Almost 90 percent of them said PTI. A female classmate of mine, who had repeatedly expressed her dislike for Imran Khan due to his misogynistic remarks, also said that she supported PTI. It was surprising for me, so I questioned her about her hypocrisy during a conversation. She explained that she didn't like Imran Khan at all, but said she loved PTI to appear "cool" in front of others.
I realised that for most of the youths supporting imran khan it's only about aesthetics and appearing cool .
Being politically relevant is another factor.

I used to be a passionate supporter of Imran Khan until 2019, but now I align with the PPP. However, I don’t follow any party blindly. Supporting PPP has taught me one valuable lesson. if they make a mistake, I don’t hesitate to criticize them directly

Funny thing is most of the Armed forces don't even know what is going on either. The 1965 was only known to those who pushed Ayub into it by Bhutto claiming he will become Fateh e Kashmir, Maj General Akhtar Hussein Malik, Ayub and C in C Musa Khan and few others who were involved in Gibraltar and Grand slam except them the Pak army knew nothing. The airforce Cheif Asghar Khan quit when he learned of the Kashmir misadventure correctly warning the Indian army will open a wider war and Nur Khan his replacement was told everything was fine until the Indian army came to Lahore (the navy is the step child so it wasn't taken seriously). The Kargil plan was something the GHQ had since the 80's yet was rejected again and again. Musharraf in the 90's presented it to Benazir who called him out on his insanity when he tried to sell the chooran of Fateh e Kashmir and Pakistani flag over Srinagar with Benazir telling him that this will result in Pakistani humiliation and Pakistan having to retreat either due to Indian military operation or US diplomatic pressures. So when he became Army Chief he and the gang of 4 Generals decided to execute the plan without informing the civilian government due to Benazir episodes. The army like airforce and navy was in the dark except Musharraf the gang of 4 and the units fighting in Kargil. When Nawaz found out Musharraf knew how to manipulate him because he wanted to be "Amir ul Momineen" so he successfully sold this and Fath e Kashmir choran. When the Pakistan army started to have its butt kicked by Indian army and diplomacy Musharraf begged Nawaz to go to America to save them. Because he knew by doing this he will avoid the blame for Kargil disaster (people believed that Pakistan army had won Kargil but Nawaz and America stabbed them in the back). After the disaster Musharraf knew his days as Army chief were numbered so he had already formulated the coup with the gang of four. He overthrew Nawaz and rest is history.

I have seen millions doing it every day, I have witnessed the change and confidence Pakistanis got abroad due to him. He uplifted the image of country. But as soon as he was shown doors he was completely a different person. He and his followers distort the name of the country and eventually he damaged the image of the country he himself built. Also another slight difference that once Khan won in 2018, I gave him another chance. I was also totally done with him by 2017, but since he had become PM, I thought of giving him another chance with him being in power. But he quickly proved I shouldn't have fallen for him again. Shehzad bhai, I respect your opinion and agree with many of your points. However, from what I've observed, Imran Khan is someone who acknowledges his mistakes. I've seen him on multiple occasions take responsibility for his errors, which, in my view, sets him apart from others.
Right now, I'm 21 years old, and maybe my perspective will change in a few years. But as of now, I genuinely want Imran Khan to make a comeback. His journey-from winning the World Cup to building a hospital despite all the doubt, and eventually becoming Prime Minister-shows that when he sets his mind to something, he finds a way. That’s why I still have hope he can make a real difference for Pakistan.

In the day and age when it's cool to castigate the education system, your story fundamentally explains how education plays a pivotal role in expanding the horizon for a person, making a human out of an animal, making a socially conscious being out of a self obsessed, self centered, kid. Don't know if you have seen Lakshya, but it was a reminiscent of the same, a story of growth, development and above all, knowing the value of a purpose.

You were rather fortunate, timing wise to have flown out for the scholarship, for it gave you some much needed solace from the onslaught of any and all political agenda being blasted all around in a country like ours - as that is how young minds are not only confined but weaponised, almost needless to add here but I'll do so for the sake of further clarity, that such sojourns enable the proverbial and literal opening of the mind via exposure to the world outside of one's literal and imaginary enclosures
It thus remains immensely difficult, for people to escape such mass hypnosis without the aid of such exploratory journeys, because the exposure itself will not knock on their door to assist in enhancing their comprehension; that too only and if they are willing to even entertain the possibility that their belief/faith holds a (even somewhat) valid counter argument(s). Having said all that, it shouldn't classify that the metaphorical exploration of one's political (or otherwise) belief system is akin to an actual physical journey outside the boundaries of one's native country, but should register a note that a person's quite capable of any journey which promotes the greater understanding of one's self, provided one is willing to look INSIDE for accountability, which when more absolute in nature; will help sculpt absolute clarity in one's thought process, via consistent practice, over time...

Ex PTI Supporter here! I feel what he said, I was immature enough to let friendships break over PTI vs PMLN/PPP.
Why do I dislike Youthia’s? Because IK is all talk, no show. Self-centred, power driven maniac.
During Raheel Shareef’s time, he would praise the same army and later bashed them. Why? Because of self interest. He says he was being played with, so that means he’s not capable enough to run this country. Koi bhe ayega and isko pagal bana deyga and yeh ban jaega? Koi aur karay toh tankeed aur yeh karay toh “I got played with”.
Go ahead and research about crime, corruption and rape/sexual harassment complains and crimes during IK’s tenure. It increased to an unhealthy point. Cherry on top > his degrading wording about women’s clothing and men not being a “robot”.
His only achievement was the accidental win of world cup. From that, he took aid to build shaukat khanum. Nothing extra ordinary as Abdul Sattar Edhi did wonders but never bragged. IK only bragged. He used the same world cup to get into politics.
The amount of corruption he and his team did during their tenure is ignored. The amount of aid and debt he took is being ignored. He ruined Pakistan’s economy at its core.

Been in the immi dislike camp since his cricketing days because his ego was there to see. It was always about him all the time. but i never loathed my friends for supporting him politically. Although my friends did loathed me. Those were difficult days , being called patwari and what not and close to being stoned. But it feel relieved to be vindicated.

@@maverickkhan2718 Paki Youthia logic > Immy fault decoder = Patwari.
Also, realistically these Patwari politicians are way more mature than Junkie Immy.

@@markvelber8664 Ya seems like , the Way he and Muzzamil does ball licking for the establishment and current regime. Anything happens they would come with their shitty excuses PTI ne 2013 me yah kia 2018 me yh kiaa... Like they are blind now they don't sense the Intensity of things now. During the PTI regime they would come up like jo power me h hm to usy h criticize krain gay fully supported the opposition sides and look at these hypocrites now

Till date i was part of youthipaaa... Luckily investment my 32 minutes ..God bless you🙏🏻

hahaha it is so funny that so many people went through the same journey I was so frustrated in 2013 elections that I couldn't vote for Imran Khan because of my age, but slowly one incident after the other i started realizing that IK is more focused on proving his opponents as bad people rather than his own performance that's when i slowly started drifting away from PTI 😅
