This is so useful cause different building games tend to have different friction on types of blocks and I've been using fabric blocks on wheels thinking they have the same friction as fabric blocks in crazy planes LOL
Thanks for this, I (was) looking for a video about some kind of graph about the grip of blocks so that I can make my tank tracks less slippy, but then thats when I realized its just slippy because it lags a lot

The larger the build, the more it could slide, but also with this, the more grip you could add. But on smaller builds less it could slide, but less you could also add grip. Still around 0.5x grip.
Yeah the acceleration is always limited by friction, well you can get more if you put thrusters on the vehicle, but with old wheels and without thrusters you will always have about the same as gravity's acceleration (if you have enough torque). And vehicle size doesn't matter (it will just look slower if the vehicle is big)
I remember playing BABFT and back then all we got was a simple wooden platform and stone and metal and chairs and rockets, and that's it. Now there's wheels, and the boats aren't even boats anymore lmao

would you mind explaining why is the slope percentage equaling a different angle for every block? Because if .8 means 38.6 degrees that would mean that friction of 2 (the new wheels) would be 96.2, but you say its 63.4, how does it work?
Yeah it doesnt work like that. Its a function from trigonometry called tangens (tan on calculators) function. If you search "how much is arctan 0.8 in degrees" on google it will give you 38.6 degrees, for arctan 2 its about 63.4 and for arctan 1 its exactly 45 degrees
