Bummer dude on the camera being off. I feel you. This past weekend I had my best lap on a new trail and my battery died unexpectedly. Seems like a legit SL e-bike though. Will need to check out the written review
Great video!! I’m 6’1”,, right on the line between large and Xtra large. After riding the XL frame at 6’3”, would you recommend XL for a 6’1” rider??? Thank you
Hey thanks! Honestly you could ride either size. Depends on how you ride and how you want the bike to feel. If you’re wanting more stability at speed and through rough terrain go with the XL. If you’re wanting the bike to be more manageable with a more BMX feel and want it to be more playful and get through tight corners and stuff better go with the Large. Hope that helps.
On your video the motor appears to wistle while climbing. Is that audible to you or just an artifact of the mic on the camera. Also, when descending the bike sounded really creaky. That's pretty disappointing.
You definitely hear a little whine from the motor. But this motor is one of the more quiet ones I have ridden out of Shimano and specialized. I have not ridden a Bosch motor. The bike didn’t have any creaks however each Ebike I have ridden recently has a small “loose part” sound coming from the motor area that I’ve noticed but only notice it watching the video. The GoPro mic seems to amplify that sound quite a bit. The Ari Timp Peak has the same thing if you watch that video, However I did have a creak in the headset area on top of the motor sound if you watch that one.
I’ll read your article later as I’m very interested in this bike. How many miles and how much vert did you cover out there in EaMo? And then how much battery was used? I’m your same size battery life is my biggest question. What was the clicking, plasticy sound in your video, especially when going downhill? Was it part of your GoPro setup? Thanks man
Good questions! I didn’t have the bike for long and only had a short window to get out and ride it. I got in an 8 mile ride and about ft of vert and I had used 2 bars of battery. Not sure exactly what the clicking was because I didn’t hear it coming from the bike while riding. I’m guessing go pro set up?

Ah man! The worst! You got me wanting that Ibis HD6 now! Haha.
Is something creaking or rattling? Or is that just your camera mount making noise?
I think it must have been something in my camera set up. Bike was really quiet.
Wore my Haven shirt out in Hawaii today!
Aloha Ben!!!
