Excellent NO HOLES Crochet Stitch Pattern! Perfect for blankets, washcloths, dish towels & more!

  • This solid crochet stitch combination would make wonderful washcloths, dish towels, bed spreads, table runners, sweaters, blankets, etc. The stitch pattern is a four row repeat and you need a multiple of 12 chs + 11 to create any size crochet project you wish. The full written instructions are further below. ⬇⬇

    HOW TO SLOW A VIDEO:

    CONVERSIONS:
    U.S. single crochet (sc) = U.K. double crochet (dc)
    U.S. half double crochet (hdc) = U.K. half treble (htr)
    U.S. double crochet (dc) = U.K. treble (tr)
    ABBREVIATIONS:
    FC - foundation chain (starting chain)
    ch(s) - chain(s)
    sl st - slip stitch
    sc - single crochet
    hdc - half double crochet
    dc - double crochet
    YO - yarn over
    st(s) - stitch(es)
    sk - skip
    SPECIAL STITCHES
    Puff Stitch - * YO, insert hook into stitch, YO and draw back through * Repeat from * to * 2 more times. YO and draw through all 7 loops on hook.
    WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS:
    FC: Ch a multiple of 12 + 11.
    Row 1: In 5th ch from hook, dc. Dc in next 5 chs. * Sk 1 ch, (puff st, ch 1, puff st) all in next ch. Sk 2 chs, (puff st, ch 1, puff st) all in next ch, sk 1 ch, dc in next 6 chs * Repeat from * to * across until 1 ch remains. Dc in last ch. Turn.
    Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 6 sts, * (puff st, ch 1, puff st) all in ch-1 sp, (puff st, ch 1, puff st) all in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 6 sts * Repeat from * to * across until turning ch remains. Dc in top of turning ch. Turn.

    Could you use a "super bulky" (6 gauge) yarn with this pattern?

      Yes! I would just recommend using the size hook listed on the packaging or perhaps moving up one size hook. You could make a swatch if you're unsure. Thanks for watching!

    I live in Canada. Don't know where you are but what you are calling double crochet as you are making it , is called a treble here.
