Power block needs to block more to the sides, and less stuff that can cancel it.
It’s the only mitigation he has apart from passive, and it’s only good at trying to charge the punch.
If he’s a tank he should be able to tank, getting slept through block feels awful.
I think it should give him CC immunity like Zarya bubble does

Yeah... the block feels pretty lame. On top of blocking CC I'd try to make it have like a parry thingy, where if you do it juuust in time to block something incoming you can reflect or something.
Yes, his shield isn't much for shielding. Most people I face are smart enough to stop shooting once they see me blocking and it doesn't protect me from the flank+rear.
Blizzard gonna see this footage and go "see Doomfist isn't bad!"
To be honest, zbra's doomfist play to me is like the theoretical best doomfist level a player can achieve, but this doesn't mean that most players can do it to this extent. I believe most doomfist players' rank are far away from what they had in OW1, even they tried hard to play competitive in the game, they still can't archive what they did. There's obviously a rank in the tank role right now and I believe most players would vote that zarya and orisa to be the most powerful level tank with no doubt. If Blizarrd was really concerned that buffing a hero would cause a player to become unsolvable in the game, then why change his position?
I mean... it's pretty obvious why. A stupid and not thought out reason, but a reason nontheless.

Zarya, sigma, and Rein are my top tanks, Rein requires a bit of build around him, but he far exceeds orisa in closer team fights and his hammer down pretty much goes unopposed. I've seen a speed boosted mercy pocketed rein clear a 5 man like butter, but to be fair when mercy amps him he two shots most of the roster.
Orisa is very well rounded, but the problem that I feel right now most fights are closer quarters and orisa is more ranged.
I am noob on OW2 and so far i like it, but i started to notice these kind of unbalaced stuff... And when i saw Doomfist and give it a try, he was so cool and fun to play but he sucks at tanking... Since his block doesn't block the entire of stuff throwing at him in front and he still takes damage on top of that, also, he doesn't have that yellow health bar that i understood as armor health, and of top of that, his life pool is so low to be a tank
@@Voldrim359 Doomfist's gimmick is (in theory) that he can overhealth himself constantly, so they didn't give him armor because every slam, punch, and ult can give him a constant influx of health.

@@Sollaryo Ehh Tankfist isn’t terrible but he seems really underwhelming compared to all the other tanks, he doesn’t bring much to the table other than powered punch which requires you to use power block, which isn’t that good.
Also it’s always weird to me how all Doom players said that DPS Doom was literally so bad he was unplayable… like, does that mean you’re throwing by picking him in comp? And clearly certain people could get lots of value from DPS Doom. As good as someone is they’re still playing a character at the end of the day. And yes I know he could be easily countered, but that’s doesn’t mean he always was
Doomfist kinda always felt like he should have been a tank. In moba terms he was more of a bruiser, but it was too difficult to make him fair in OW1 so I think this is a solid improvement
The amount of effort needed to fight the junker queen around 2:30 should say it all. You nail the enemy with a full DF combo: Smash, rocket punch into the wall, three close range head shots… junkerqueen at 60% health…
This hero REALLY needs buffs…

Honestly his damage is fine just give him 50hp more and make power block immune to cc and bam he’s good
Junkerqueen has the yellow nade from ana and the mercy was still healing her. Zbra just Shows how well Doomfist can compete in GM when he is played good
@@zoovaado7759 think his base dmg is fine, but his charged fist should do a lot more and maybe increase stun duration.
Just make his first 100 hp armor or something. His damage and abilities are fine, he's just a little squishy even with 450 hp

I liked doom better on dps.. most people have no clue how to use him as a tank so it kinda feel like an auto L when he gets picked

he is not really a tank he's honestly is a dps. He's not a point tank but an off tank that is just damage and disruption. Ones that are meant to dive the enemies and just delay them from coming in rather than holding a point. Like an actual offense dps would.
needs a slight dmg buff on his Full arm charge + at least 50 more hp.

I never liked the dps heroes in OW. I mostly play tanks and healers. Doomfist for me is maybe the hardest hero to play (if you want to play him properly). As I watch ZBRA old videos (in OW1) I am amazed. I am still amazed by his Doom on OW2 too but dude this hero just sucks. They took one of the best dps heroes and buried him. The cc changes in the game are awful. I hate being frozen by Mei or stunned by McCree or stunned by Doom but man... without it and no CC what kind of game is that. Just shooting until sombody dies.

So for all you new players out there: there is no either/or when it comes to playing "dps" doom or "tank" doom. You play both. You play whatever is best for the situation. This was the same dichotomy with rein back in the day and it's dumb that it's still a thing? We've long since moved past it.

I feel like they should increase the meteor strike center damage & then the outside should boop people outwards for disrupting teams & rewarding doom with more potential for environmental kills
Doom was OP before and now he sucks. Happened to most of the tanks I played for years and the best you can do is adapt or deal with it. Payed my dues getting bullied by balance changes.
He wasn't OP before outside of really low ranks. People really didn't like the character design though, being one shot via punch in a FPS game is frustrating.
This shows that if you want to play Doom at a high level(or any level tbh), you have to do double or triple the work of a normal hero. His block needs to be buffed and his damage, or at least give him some armour or some way for him to regen his health. Doom is in a horrible state
And his block should be able to block most abilities
having to fight doom for a long time now, I have built pure hatred against him for being too OP. I have legendary skins for him but I don't think I could play doom ever again. That character is an atrocity.

Thunder. It was a OWL skin that was available for, I believe, a limited time in 2019ish? I don't think it's available anymore. They might bring it back into the shop rotation though. You never know.

I like how Reinhardt and roadhog are aloud to have one tap abilities to squishies but not doom

Doom is still a DPS and only a decent one in the hands of like masters and above. I have yet to see anyone honestly try and play him in plat or lower. He can't really make space without sacrificing himself, his mitigation is a bit of a joke where the rest of the tanks literally do not take damage during theirs if you aim anywhere but his arm you'll still chip at him enough to take him out. Yes ZBRA can do gross things with him in a highlight reel but if it takes that level of skill to do anything at all then the hero is just busted.

He's not near as dominating or wiping teams as tank Doom. He can still help with carrying sure but he's not this force that warps in across the map and kills the team.
the sad part is that even one of the best fist players can't make him look good to play, his primary should honestly just not require a reload it does basically nothing anyway

You press shift again before he hits the ground but you can’t cancel it super early for some reason. It can only be cancelled like right before you hit the ground.

This version of Doom is just a nerfed version of his OW1 version. The Block doesn't do much and if you're in one of those games where your healers fails to heal you for being too mobile, you're basically throwing the game by constantly dying. Especially that this game is F2P now, all noobs will NOT enjoy these types of characters because the adjustments made for pros BY pros.

Its sad to see Doomfist in such a state, possibly if not just the worst tank in the game from what i've seen, everyone from Queen to Hog to Hammond just...does what he can but better. Better damage stopping, better damage output, the only thing he has is i guess rocket punch can stop a small handful of ultimate's, and his mobility, but if you cant do anything but be mobile, why even bother being mobile? I loved old Doomfist and wanna get good at new Doomfist but he just...does not have the stats to manage right now, his rocket punch needs something more when the gauntlet is fully charged up
I can literally think of 50 ways to buff this character without making him too OP..blizzard took the funnest character and made him into a joke. literally if they kept the ABSOLUTE GARBAGE damage stats on all of his powers i would be fine as long as they gave him mobility

He's a tank. What other tanks besides roadhog (closet DPS) has a one shot? If you stun a squishy on a wall you should still be able to kill them with a double headshot anyway.

How to ruin a good game:
1_Go 5v5 to reduce queue times.
2_Nerf DF to reduce CC's.
3_Realize that queue times are still high because there are too many tank players.
4_Cry because you can not undo it.
If they would have just changed how tanks worked like they do now they wouldn’t have needed to change the format to 5v5. Tanks are a lot more fun now that they are more bruisers than a second support for dps players to have fun.
That’s not why they went 5v5 though? Like they’ve talked about this extensively

@@larrythebomb5001 that would be boring as shit, as tanks aren’t just better at dps in OW2, they have more health, faster cooldowns and stronger shields. If it was 6v6 again it would basically just be two tanks carrying every round, while everyone else struggles to even attempt dps.
Not to mention in comp having two tanks with pocket medics would be atrocious in the new meta, the reason tanks are fun now is because they’re statistically OP compared to the other heroes. That’s why we can only have 1 tank and 2 of them every other hero.
Before you say it doesn’t matter because the other team would also have 2 tanks, IT DOES. if both teams have 2 tanks it turns back into OG overwatch, where everyone just shoots tanks for a half hour and then the whole team pops their ults to contest, rinse repeat. Boring AF.
