I think but I could be wrong that pinging could be the wrong grade of gasoline or maybe the timing is a couple degrees off. Either way the motor sounds good. 289 s were not really all that powerful, but potent enough when set up properly in a light car like that or a falcon etc

The tire size is 225/60R14 front and back. I zoomed in on my phone. I would have guessed the wheels to be 15". Tire and wheel combo is spot on for this car.
No colour isn't black: it's a special paint ordered by big companies or fleet cars. For '66 models this could be: Anniversary Gold Aspen Gold Columbine Blue Timberlane Green. The painter was really not interested in his work to tell his customer a special paint is much more desirable. Even when the paint job was done. If the owner painted the car black himself... What an idiot!!
I know the fastback is the desired Mustang but, I like the coupes better. Something about the rear deck lid that keeps classic style.
In my opinion. Others also. Top ten best style of an automobile in history
Greene IA, I was born there WOW
How are the fog lights mounted, I've got a 66 and I would like to put fog lights in it just like that

Do me a personal favor and video your homecoming parade. I enjoy seeing the small town of Green. It reminds me of my home town.
Sharp 😎👍🏼
Love it!
