Your last guest and the conversation you had with him really got me thinking. I just turned 25 last week, and I feel like I'm wasting my life by not doing anything. I suffer from a few mental illnesses and they've really messed up my life, and while I'm very slowly getting better I don't feel like I've achieved anything in my life. I'm hoping embracing my furry-ness will help me to open up more and meet new friends, as I don't have very many right now. I really enjoyed this video!

That last guy, the otter, is falling to the fallacy that he's past the age of being able to contribute meaningfully. Grandma Moses started painting at age 78 and is now famous. There is no age cap for learning new skills or making an impression. And I know this is easy to overlook as a person in meatspace, but I never would've guessed his age if he didn't say it, which is one of the beautiful things about being a furry that he isn't taking advantage of: You can literally be whoever you want to be. It's like starting an entirely new life and identity. Now is the time to fulfill your dreams, Frazzy626. You're inhabiting a world where you have just as fresh a start as anyone else. I say this as a 36-year-old who's finally getting some traction in the furry commission world after a decade and a half in the fandom with only middling success.
I find this a kind of interesting mindset. For me I care not for accomplishment so much as self cultivation. I mean it'll wear away someday yes, I will die. But at least I was the art piece.

For me, I had to fall back on art because two other career tracks fell through, and I realized that I was tired of working for other people who just exploit my work ethic. So self-cultivation is a directly useful thing for actual advancement. But mostly I was just addressing the guy in the video's concerns with this comment.
I am also 36 and only got involved in the community a few years ago. Im passonate about it, so I take charge when no one steps up. Used to draw a lot when i was younger, but rarely characters, so im trying to learn again drawing app too.
it's nice to have an outsider looking in who's not like "what in god's name are those freaks up to now?" i swear, a few people go and do something wild and we all catch hell for it. pretty sure the normies wouldnt like that being done to them, so i wish they'd knock it off, we're fans of anthropomorphic characters, should accept it as that.

I really like how wholesome the furry community is. From what I have seen through some furry youtubers I have found and from watching r/FurryIRL videos it just seems like a really nice family where everyone just encourages each other. Also the art is flipping adorable.
Relatable. For me, it went something like “been observing for a while, and it looks really fun, but I’m too afraid of rejection to approach.” Hence why I’m taking my first steps online. Can’t wait to bring it to real life!
The last conversation got to me really hard. I'm 22 and I just found out about furries, I feel like I don't have the means to enjoy a furry life (no cons in my country, no money for VR, nothing....) and I just really want to. Time is goind by and life isn't changing and that depresses me beyond belief. I loved everyone in this video but the last Otter.... god I wanna hug that man, I love the time you put into it.
The last interview really got me in the feels, actually cried a little after. Just a great reminder of the shared humanity (ironic) we all have in this crazy, precious network of adorable weirdos. Some real wisdom in his words, we really are only in here to take care of each other. So many utterly unique people I've met.
Wow... this honestly felt more than an adventure more than anything. Just listening to very in depth stories of these amazing people really sheds some different and beautiful perspectives on life. Frazzy is just, really insightful as a 20 year old designer and artist for me is just so inspiring to listen to. His wisdom is just, it felt like like a deep guided meditation to really reflect on life and choose what is truly important to your soul and what you want to accomplish in your lifetime. Truly thank you to all of the people in this interview and and will probably listen to this again if I hit any rough spots in life.
@Swift Demise having nihilistic tendencies towards the world and obviously there is nothing beautiful. If you truly see the world through that lens, you will never be happy. While yes it is very easy to simply say that because of how the world looks today, you need to find the beauty within life in order to be happy, nobody is going to do that for you but yourself.
That bit with the engineer made me think... if there is life on other planets, and some of them are furries, could it be possible that at least one of them has "human" as a fursona? 0.o
The otter vibes really hits me ngl since I've been at home for over a year now and haven't done anything good for myself yet, I'm gonna try to be a better person from now on and do what I want to do now instead of tomorrow, thank you :)
I really feel the last part. I have so many things I’ve found that I want to do that I actually began to write them down and pick some up and work on them, but as of late I’ve been losing track of what I want. That last speech revitalized my drive to hunker down and get through the grind of learning so you can coast freely with your creativity. Thanks a lot for this video
I think this is quite possibly the most wholesome video on TH-cam. I had a nice warm, fuzzy feeling the whole time because of these people's stories and how they came into their own in the Fandom. Also I really hope they add collision models to VR Chat so you can actually hug people and feel it. Especially if you have one of those suits that let you feel contact in vr.
Yeah I wanna get VR I'm someone with severe anxiety issues and agoraphobia and after covid happened I've gotten to point I can't properly function anymore can't get a job with sever panic attacks because at least for me every job I've tried fired me the moment I had a Panic attack and stuff I hope to get VR some day but without a way to make money it's hard but I hope to use it in a therapeutic way to get myself better so I can actually socialize and start to improve.
This is... a wonderful thing. It reminds you just how much of a person everyone is behind their sonas, and how they got here. It reminds me what I actually like about the fandom and what makes me feel like I actually belong in it. It's good. It's wholesome, and that's what makes it great. And- It wasn't just understanding more of the community here: There's advice that anyone can use or benefit from hearing. The last interview is just... an eye-opener, in my opinion. What a wonderfully crafted video/interview this was. I would strongly recommend this video to anyone who is curious about the furry fandom, or if you're looking for what being a furry means to other furries in the fandom. This video was certainly worth the wait!
This video is highly underrated for the amount of effort and money put on this video. All the camera angles, great edit and also the people u chose to interview, u really know how to choose the right people, they were really nice and seemed to know how to do interviews very well. But the thumbnail, together with the fact the video is 57min long, really isnt attractive to people to click on ur video at all. People usually dont expect that much effort put on such a long video, and expect it to be tedious.
28:00 basically sums up me. I can say internet had no influence on me. More of the isolation, bullying, and by my peers helped shape me of furry. And now I'm an adult in constant fear of mass rejection. funny though mentioning the pronz. It's amazing what crudely constructed stuff would get me excited at 12

disney's robin hood as a child, then later on Night in The Woods and Zootopia reawakened it staying to make it to a convention one day and be part of a community that doesn't make their lives out of hate
i think Disney's Robin Hood was many a fur's first experiences with furry characters, other than say Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry or the Disney trinity of Mickey, Donald and Goofy.
I don't think I've ever commented on a video before but I felt like it was almost necessary after hearing Frazzy's answers. I'm only 22 years old and yet I feel like I'm listening to an older version of myself. Being a closeted furry from an early age, I've only more recently let down my façade and let the people around me know. Lucky for me, most of them didn't really mind at all and some even revealed to me they were furries too. Even my boyfriend is a furry, and I didn't even know! Frazzy's answers are nearly verbatim to what I would say if I had been asked the same questions. I honestly want and hope that other people like Frazzy and I can see this comment and know that there are other people like you out in the world and not to discount what you can achieve or do at any age!
i'm not a furry myself, but i find the fandom amazing to experience i've met so many furries on VRChat as well , and they are all friendly and accepting as well as they really like to start conversations
because the community(from what i've seen) Is the most supportive I've seen in ages. Seriously, I haven't seen or heard of a single inch of toxicity in the Furry community. Never change y'all.
Just now seeing this video, but absolutely loved it. Frazzy's bit was quite honestly amazing, you just let him run, and for me that was great...it was like he had alot on his mind, yet until that point didn't really feel like he had an outlet to express it...if that makes sense. Good stuff.
Going through life day by day, living a life of constant work, with no social outlet is a draining experience that is something that no one should ever come across. I wish I had heard of VRChat much earlier before now. But I guess that didn’t happen because I didn’t have friends that liked what I liked. Living on your own, making ends meet, it doesn’t allow much room to explore. But I hope one day to get a good enough computer to run VR Chat to meet, greet, and make friends in the community that I’ve felt I’ve been in for more than 2/3s of my life. In my job, I work alone, patrolling streets at night where everyone is pretty much asleep for the select few.

Otters represent! :3 I'm so happy about this interview series, it might not change everybody's opinion on furries but I think the best way to get people to, y'know, accept furries is to show that we're not totally Other, we just have a hobby that we're enthusiastic about. Some more, some less, but in general I think it's safe to say that we're "normal" people _and_ furries; those aren't mutually exclusive.
Fursona! what persona?...oh ( looks at my icon ) that fursona lol I'm an artist within the fandom and love it! Not that I knew it at the time but I have had my persona since she was my imaginary friend that I created when I was about 6 XD
i can relate to frizzy.. im turning 41 in a few days.. i've been a furry since uh.. huh.. forever??? i used to draw what i called art lol.. but i ddint know there was a community centered around furry till i got on yahoo chat.. and then furcadia, then imvu.. and second life.. i hope to get into VR chat some day.. was planing on it this year but my car ate the money i was saving for the hardware.. so Second life is my jam for now.. im currently dusting off my 3d modeling brain.. (i keep my brains in various jars..so to speak) i've even pulled a few folks along with me. though some of them have kinda stepped away they will stay admit to being furries if some one tries to give me grief.. honestly i get more grief from being goth lol.. mostly because people misteak me for being a woman XD.. i live in a tiny lil southern city so goth and furry kinda came and went. i have begun to ramble so i will close out saying: I think this video was a wonderfully well rounded view of what being a furry is all about.. and it's just BEING. alot of folks who think they know what a furry is think it's all about sex or sexy animal carttoons.. and that is a thing but that's not all there is to it and you showed that wonderfully.
I'm new to the furry fandom and very shy, but I love the furry community, they're the sweetest. Still need to finish my own anthro though, but I know it's going to be worth it. They're so full of creavity and and looks so sweet, it makes me so happy ! =)

Lucky for me, most of them didn't really mind at all and some even revealed to me they were furries too. Even my boyfriend is a furry, and I didn't even know! Frazzy's answers are nearly verbatim to what I would say if I had been asked the same questions.
I honestly want and hope that other people like Frazzy and I can see this comment and know that there are other people like you out in the world and not to discount what you can achieve or do at any age!

Just now seeing this video, but absolutely loved it. Frazzy's bit was quite honestly amazing, you just let him run, and for me that was great...it was like he had alot on his mind, yet until that point didn't really feel like he had an outlet to express it...if that makes sense. Good stuff.
Going through life day by day, living a life of constant work, with no social outlet is a draining experience that is something that no one should ever come across.
I wish I had heard of VRChat much earlier before now. But I guess that didn’t happen because I didn’t have friends that liked what I liked.
Living on your own, making ends meet, it doesn’t allow much room to explore.
But I hope one day to get a good enough computer to run VR Chat to meet, greet, and make friends in the community that I’ve felt I’ve been in for more than 2/3s of my life.

Humans are animals, and if you like what humans look like, your looking at a "animal" with human features 🤔 therefore like anthropomorphic animals, and that is the definition of furry, but either way this is a joke and isn't meant to be taken seriously.
The real question you should be asking is why not be a Furry

I'm so happy about this interview series, it might not change everybody's opinion on furries but I think the best way to get people to, y'know, accept furries is to show that we're not totally Other, we just have a hobby that we're enthusiastic about. Some more, some less, but in general I think it's safe to say that we're "normal" people _and_ furries; those aren't mutually exclusive.

i can relate to frizzy.. im turning 41 in a few days.. i've been a furry since uh.. huh.. forever??? i used to draw what i called art lol.. but i ddint know there was a community centered around furry till i got on yahoo chat.. and then furcadia, then imvu.. and second life.. i hope to get into VR chat some day.. was planing on it this year but my car ate the money i was saving for the hardware.. so Second life is my jam for now.. im currently dusting off my 3d modeling brain.. (i keep my brains in various jars..so to speak) i've even pulled a few folks along with me. though some of them have kinda stepped away they will stay admit to being furries if some one tries to give me grief.. honestly i get more grief from being goth lol.. mostly because people misteak me for being a woman XD.. i live in a tiny lil southern city so goth and furry kinda came and went. i have begun to ramble so i will close out saying: I think this video was a wonderfully well rounded view of what being a furry is all about.. and it's just BEING. alot of folks who think they know what a furry is think it's all about sex or sexy animal carttoons.. and that is a thing but that's not all there is to it and you showed that wonderfully.
