Thank you Kailand. Yes the walls and roof are not too bad. We do however have to replace all the cement point with lime to allow the walls to breathe, which will be a big job.
What a great beginning of the journey for your home. If the land slopes towards the building. A bit of forward thinking about some sort of drainage system to prevent underground water moving towards your home. I m on a hillside and it’s something I didn’t take into consideration, wishing I had. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

We are currently looking in rural Aberdeenshire. Trying to be flexible. Made an offer on one near Alford but that didn't proceed. Hoping to drive up again this week with 6 possibles to look at. Looking for rural with large garden like you. Currently live in Norfolk so a long drive. Good luck with your project, looking forward to more vids 😊
@@suebrodie7362 aye that's a long drive. Right now it's quite difficult to buy properties because everyone is looking. We bought ours way back in November. That's a great time of year to buy properties because you have less competition. Try to look for properties 45min + away from Aberdeen and they will get cheaper too.
What a pretty piece of land you have! Those beautiful trees and the daffs 💛. The house is incredible too, so much potential and those stunning stone walls are a dream! Will you keep some exposed do you think?
Thanks Natalie, yes we might. Unfortunately they are not all nice looking as they have patched areas with bricks and all sorts in some areas. If you take a look at my second video, I did show more of that in there. We have a chimney breast we might keep uncovered. Overall we will likely lime render to allow the walls to breathe. Hi the stove will be connected to an insulated 200l hot water tank in the attic. So yeah it should be ok :)
