7:48 I want to add a bit of important information. Ever since 2023, Nanuqsaurus as a genus has been put into question. The material first attributed to the name was considered too generalized or incomplete for a formal description, resulting in it being a nomen nudem. However, that was from the holotype consisting or incomplete jaw and skull fragments from 2006 and not more complete post cranial specimens found over the years. Keep in mind that the younger specimens were what gave the animal the moniker of a dwarf tyrant before their identities were better known. Anyway, the extra material has helped to affirm two things: Nanuqsaurus was both a valid taxon with a larger body size, though still small compared to other Tyrannosaurines. With the discovery of Asiatyrannus (very creative name, I know), there's a grouping within Tyrannosaurinae supporting more compact "dwarf" sizes. Keep in mind, Nanuqsaurus is the average size of an Albertosaurine and has heft, but agin, relative to things like T. rex.
Nice Video Interpretation of my favorite Tyrannosaur since Tarbosaurus and Albertosaurus known as The Polar Bear Lizard Nanuqsaurus and I’m happy that Nanuqsaurus is getting some attention and spotlight and one of my favorite interpretations of Nanuqsaurus were Dino Dana, Amazing Dino World, Prehistoric Planet as well as Dinosauria because those were my favorites especially Dino Dana because that’s my absolute favorite and at 4:29, I remember taking screenshots and pictures of the dinosaur on my Twitter page back in 2021 along with other dinosaurs from the series, it was pretty awesome and nostalgic and good idea of using the screenshots I did on my Twitter page for your video which was pretty awesome. Great job on the interpretations and keep it up.
Nanuqsaurus is THE reason I wanted to learn Inuit words, Nanuq is just such a cool word I later found out other paleontology animals were also named Inuit names, like Ugrunaalik (probably butchered that spelling) and Tiktaalik that fish that crawled onto land
tyrannosauridae is one of my fav group of dinosaurs in general, so seeing a more obscure one like nanuqsaurus is awsome! fingers crossed we can get the many interpretations of albertosaurus in early 2025
Idk if there are enough media depictions but I'd love to see Einiosaurus make an appearance, I remember liking this guy and his weird horn ever since I was a kid
You forgot March of the Dinosaurs. It was an older fictional story/documentary that came out before Walking with Dinosaurs movie about an Edmontosaurus named Scar. I loved that documentary and it does have Nanuq/Gorgosaurus.
@ Gorgosaurus was in the beginning of the movie. Killing one of the other Edmontosaurus juveniles. Approximately 18 minutes in and is named at the 19 minute mark. Though I totally forgot about the Albertosaurus in the movie!!!
Honestly Nanuqsaurus is one of those Dinosaurs that shouldn’t be featured a lot in media given we know virtually nothing about the animal, but the Prince Creek formation is popular so I guess it has no choice.
For another cold weather creature could you please cover the many interpretations of the giant short faced bear? Arctodus simus would probably be it or Arctotherium?
I made a comment on your q video about them fleeing from T-Rex’s. I actually do have a idea on why they would’ve done that and it’s actually very simple. We know T-Rex can bite through normal bone imagine what it could do to a creature that is adapted for flight so yeah I think them flying away is reasonable
2 things i woud love to see in your videos: 1: maby show us a skeleton/the boens or thigns we know of the prehistoric animal, becaus it woud be cool to see how some looked like if u havnt see it befor. 2: maby make some links to where you got your figure becaus i see soem awsome looking bihind you and i woud like afew if theam, so a link to somwhat all the places u got theam from.
There’s an even bigger issue with Prehistoric Planet’s Nanuqsaurus scenes: It’s storming way too much. That’s just not possible back in the Mesozoic, not even in the polar regions. And if so, the baby Pachyrhinosauruses would’ve frozen to death, since the babies were shown mostly naked without fuzz protecting them.
I often do. However, more folks are simply familiar with species rather than genus. so, the idea is still received. Plus, it still was a new species of animal, N.hoglundi.
I have an extinct creature you should look up haast’s eagle for two reasons one it’s an eagle that basically hunted 12 foot tall emus and the fact that it’s believe in inspire a mythical bird that ate people and some scientist, believe that that actually did happen
The next poll should be Megaloceros, Diplocaulus, Gigantopitechus and Beelzebufo
@@neonskye740 they would be probably short videos since all of these might only have 2 to 4 interpretations
@michaelbuono4007 Megaloceros and Diplocaulus do have a lot
@@neonskye740 what about Deinosuchus.
@@gattycroc8073 Honestly yeah, swap Gigantopitechus for Deinosuchus
For diplocaulus i know a very obscure one which appeared for like 3 seconds in Evangelion

"It doesn't look... Bad"
*Proceeds to show the biggest eyesore yet*
Many interpretations of Albertosaurids should be next
Nanuqsaurus is THE reason I wanted to learn Inuit words, Nanuq is just such a cool word
I later found out other paleontology animals were also named Inuit names, like Ugrunaalik (probably butchered that spelling) and Tiktaalik that fish that crawled onto land
Glad you like my Nanuq!
It looks fantastic!
I feel like with Nanuq’s it could probably go ether way it being bulky or slimmer until more is discovered
For size I feel like they could have been smaller adult forms and larger ones
For example they thought Sue was the biggest T. rex than found Scotty to be bigger and other Trexs found to be smaller
me like snow, me like dinos, mel ike feathers, i love cold dinosuars hehe
you should do a room tour because i keep seeing new things on the shelf but i can't tell how much is new
All Nanqsaurs’s should be depicted in media with Santa hats
The next interpretation of daeodon or helicoprion please as I think they would be very interesting
helicoprion would be sick
@ definitely
4:27 fav version
Dinosaur Noob: dinosaurs did not like cold weather
Nanuqsaurus: my name literally means polar bear lizard
Nanuqsaurus portrait also I like One from Dinosauria and Prehistoric planet (2022-2023)
I appreciate how u are also paying attention to the underrated dinosaurs that really need attention as well! Great youtuber!
I remember one depiction of this Dino that has it without feathers and it was just chunky like a seal
If dinosaurs celebrated Christmas, this dinosaur would be their Krampus. Btw krampus is like an anti santa
The Designs Of Nanuqsaurus That I Like Is Prehistoric Planet And Dinosauria
Thanks for covering my second favorite theropod! Maybe next, take on my favorite dinosaur period, Maip!
tyrannosauridae is one of my fav group of dinosaurs in general, so seeing a more obscure one like nanuqsaurus is awsome! fingers crossed we can get the many interpretations of albertosaurus in early 2025
2:50 it is giving Blizzard/Talon from Primal Rage
This one is cool...literally🥶
Idk if there are enough media depictions but I'd love to see Einiosaurus make an appearance, I remember liking this guy and his weird horn ever since I was a kid
8:19 I think the hints of red on their snouts are ment to look like moss/algae/lichen growing on rocks.
The MANY interpretations of Saichania when?
Would that not JUST be Tank from Dinosaur King?
You forgot March of the Dinosaurs. It was an older fictional story/documentary that came out before Walking with Dinosaurs movie about an Edmontosaurus named Scar. I loved that documentary and it does have Nanuq/Gorgosaurus.
I forgot about that. I only ever remembered the Ablertosaurus from that project.
@ Gorgosaurus was in the beginning of the movie. Killing one of the other Edmontosaurus juveniles. Approximately 18 minutes in and is named at the 19 minute mark. Though I totally forgot about the Albertosaurus in the movie!!!
You’ve gotta do a “the many interpretations of Sarchosuchus” video
Honestly Nanuqsaurus is one of those Dinosaurs that shouldn’t be featured a lot in media given we know virtually nothing about the animal, but the Prince Creek formation is popular so I guess it has no choice.
Didn’t March of the Dinosaurs also have the outdated gorgosaurus?
The many interpretations of albertosaurus please
For another cold weather creature could you please cover the many interpretations of the giant short faced bear? Arctodus simus would probably be it or Arctotherium?
0:56 I thought that was a Gorgosaurus?
Next should be troodon!
could you do the many interpretations of prehistoric Crocodilians think would be cool
kinda surpised over how you said the Nanuqsaurus from alaskaen dinosaurs won´t too bad,
i was thinking the eyes were too far back in the skull.
Can you please do Many interpretations of Troodon.
can we get a tarbosaurus in media please
next poll megolosaur or diplocadulus or anomalacharus
I made a comment on your q video about them fleeing from T-Rex’s. I actually do have a idea on why they would’ve done that and it’s actually very simple. We know T-Rex can bite through normal bone imagine what it could do to a creature that is adapted for flight so yeah I think them flying away is reasonable
Do the very few interpretations of Shunosaurus
2 things i woud love to see in your videos:
1: maby show us a skeleton/the boens or thigns we know of the prehistoric animal, becaus it woud be cool to see how some looked like if u havnt see it befor.

Do Australopithecus

Impressive, every word in that sentence was wrong
It is definitely possible for it to snow that much
Oh Dino guy there is a drawing on my channel I posted and I think you might like it and it one of your favorite dinosaurs and can you do the cave bear
1:43 fyi, you should be saying new GENUS. A species would imply it’s still under genus Gorgosaurus
I often do. However, more folks are simply familiar with species rather than genus. so, the idea is still received. Plus, it still was a new species of animal, N.hoglundi.
Cool @@DinoGuy8 but could you please do many interpretations of Albertosaurus and Troodon please that would be totally awesome don't you think please?
I have an extinct creature you should look up haast’s eagle for two reasons one it’s an eagle that basically hunted 12 foot tall emus and the fact that it’s believe in inspire a mythical bird that ate people and some scientist, believe that that actually did happen
I'm sorry to say this, but I thought it was pronounced "Nanquasaurus"
himb
Nanuqsaurus is the Polar Bear of the Cretaceous. 🦖🐻❄️
