Hello! I'm considering applying early decision to BU and was wondering how that compares to other applications. I am also lacking in the extracurriculars area, I'm involved in clubs and other things that can correlate with my major but I haven't won any awards, and I'm not a president or leader of a club. How will that affect me?
Did she ED2? Are you comfortable sharing what gpa and test score she was rejected at? It’s totally fine if you don’t want, but I’m really interested in BU. Also, it would probably be best to let your daughter know that there are many great schools out there, she’ll definitely do great!
Tysm for the video. I just had a quick question. My grades were not too good during covid (freshman and some of sophomore high school), but they’ve gotten much better since (junior year). Will Boston University admission officers acknowledge and see my growth during my high school years? I’m afraid that they will just skip over my application from just gpa without reading my essay or looking at my extracurriculars.
Hi! Admissions officers place more weight on your most recent grades. Showing improvement is valuable, and your grades in one semester (especially during COVID) won't keep them from reading the rest of your application. I would consider briefly mentioning the cause of your troubles in your application essays, so the admissions officers have some context for your temporary poor performance.
Hi! Most colleges consider your transcript as a whole, but we go by unweighted GPA since it's less prone to manipulation (a C in an AP course could, at some schools, count towards a 4.0). Just use your unweighted GPA and remember to also strive for the most rigorous courses available at your school.
does it have to be the teacher to give letter of recommendation or others like employers can also give letter of recommendation! and also, does BU provide full ride scholorships to international students? ALSO, what's the requirement for study abroad program?
Bro can we please chat with each other, I am a boston applicant and I have some doubts. It would be really helpful if you can help me with a few inquiries.

My daughter received the letter yesterday and she was not accepted. She was so sad and cried all night. Any suggestions?

hello, does BU care more about weighted gpas or unweighted gpas?
