- The Fiat Punto has evolved and aptly, the carmaker is calling it the Punto Evo. Fiat has given the Punto a brand new face that's exclusively styled for the Indian market, and it looks more 'Italian' than ever. We drove the 92bhp diesel "Sport" variant for this review. Fiat is yet to announce prices for the Punto Evo but we expect it to remain the same as the outgoing Grande Punto.
Pls note, we filmed this quick review in the thick of Mumbai's monsoon so the car will be wet / dry in different parts of the video.

I have completed 100000 kms on this without a fuss . Amazing piece of engineering! They don’t make cars like these anymore . Highway manners is just phenomenal. The only other car that matches its ride is the Vento , which is a segment above . Handling department , there is no other car below 15 lakhs to match this .
I had Just bought my 90hp, the 10 days of drive all I can say this is the best hatch back in INDIA on this price mark. " If you still like driving Fiat is still ahead".

safety by unique double striker air beg, pushing machine on heavy accident, Anti rolling sys, Fire prevention system, unique suspensions by loaded of 7 technologies, unique max most Ground clearance, top speed till 190-200 n comfortable balancing speed of 180, Piston temperature balancer, Six direction protected beams, Rotational Immobaliser sys in all variants n other safety features make this car unique that no brands hav capabilities to provide such huge unique features in any Sedan n hatchback
Watching this in 2021 is just fun, Indian car market has drastically change.
I have Punto old model and my cousin has Evo. The stability, ride quality, mileage is wonderful. Fiat service in Chennai is very good. When we park both cars side by side, the old design always wins the heart.
rohit r, I live in Chennai and there were no issues of spare parts. Off late Fiat is doing a great job to improve its service. I would suggest you to visit the service center in your city to know the situation.

Naresh Babu, in Chennai city I get 15.5- 16.5 kmpl. Long trips when driven around 90-100km 21-22kmpl. I have the old punto. Evo should be delivering even better

My Punto has done over 1L kms and it still drives like new. Have done the recommended parts change (timing belt, etc etc.)
The handling is just mind blowing. No other car below 20-25Lakhs can even come near the punto with respect to handling/performance.
I've taken it to all kinds of terrains and still there's no squeak or any cabin noise whatsoever.
Modern day cars are just loaded with fancy electronics.
Once you ride a punto .. you won't own any other Hatch..

that is so true... it is like a drug. once u had ur hands on punto ur finished bcz ur not gonna have anything else ever. i owns an second hand punto and i m not able to drive any other bullshit. planning to buy new 2014 punto. there is something u cant explain about punto.... it is a feeling.
Babin Praise Thankarajan Of all the cars I've tested, nothing came close to Punto in terms of driving dynamics: ride, handling and braking (talking abt the older Punto here). And for me, safety is very important and this car is built strong. I would have already bought it if not for the news about upcoming Punto :)

I second that. I have always wanted Polo for more than two years, but when I test drove the Punto, nothing came close in the ride, handling, braking, suspension, sturdiness etc etc. In a matter of month, I got Punto Evo 90hp instead of the Polo I have been looking out for.

Ride qulaity, Handling and Braking - PUNTO IS THE BEST.
Ride quality is great, build of this machine is unmatchable with other comparators also it is around 100 kg. heavier than its comparators,
What a beauty she is! Punto and Polo are the best cars in its segment, and not just in terms of looks. It is a head AND heart decision for me. Punto will be my next car, will wait for the Avventura though :)

Punto is most heavy weight hatchback with strong metal body. And thatswhy it is not as quick as swift or baleno because of excess weight. But still it is fun for highway cruising though not as quick as swift in terms of drag racing. Practically nobody does drag racing in day to day driving. Punto has excellent highway high speed stability.

Excelent car, seat comfort punto gave didn't have in innova also and most of all milage company claims 21km milagecon highway but 1500rpm it give 22-23km milage.
And ground clearance more than suv Seltos....if i compare punto with small suv's not bad.
Fiat needs to improve its service. Period.

They make me feel as though it's a luxury car.
I own Linea for 3 years now and I never had any issues with the service or spare part so far. I also own Switft (8 years) and I have not found any difference in the service between Maruti or Fiat.
I have owned a Palio for 9 years.........loved every moment of it and still love driving it.....I also own a 1.3 MJD Linea - another lovely car............wont say service has been any problem.......it is easy to stick to a tagline.....but the beauty lies in exploring the less known and enjoying the rewards.....period

Fantastic Car..just take a test drive and the next moment you will buy it...Yes its true being a FIAT PUNTO (2011) owner this is my experience! Good thing about FIAT cars I noticed is that you never ever get bored with the CAR, even after few years of driving you sence the same freshness as new and you enjoy the drive quality...Seriously, Just take a trail!.

Car is looking just like new... everything is crystal and clear including engine bay,single owner and odo reading is 55000 kms
The final price is 3.4 lakhs

Also There's a 2015 celerio vdi with 800cc 2 cylinder diesel engine, single owner and Odo was 1,05,000kms,car is company maintained and service record is clear and vehicle is in very good condition and the price is ₹2.2 lakhs

for a hour or two its comfortable for 3. When its a long journey only 2 will be comfortable.

There can be good things about the new fiat punto evo but wat abt the old ones becoz
i am havin Fiat punto 1.3L multijet and i too have same problem with the ignition and the Fiat service center is also not able retify the problem,Fiat should able find the problem and retify.We can give 100 marks for the car performance but for the service ZERO.
This is the big mistake of Fiat and its not new problem they have itz been from fiat premier.Because of service the company is not able to stand in the automobile.
Shall i change the dashboard of my grande punto to the Evo if so how much will it cost me I'm from India

I don't understand. One buys a hatchback for its practicality peppy engine to be able to park in tight spaces to be able zip past in stop n go traffic. If someone wants to make a style statement a hatchback whether German or Italian just won't cut it. You will need a Mercedes Porsche Audi or a beamer for that. Sadly the punto fails in the most important aspect of being a hatchback ie. Low end grunt. That's a good enough reason to stay away from it. A 3 cylinder boxy wagon r has more low end torque than punto. N that's what is needed in a congested city or uphill drive.

That is a very old story...I own a punto...and has a good milage...
The car is not that much good and still their customer service is too bad. There are so many negative on building joints and due to heavy stearing and v cut bonnet, highly difficult to ride in city. My desiel have too noise to cabin. I can give negative staring for their customer servise team from work shop level to india head office. Tooooooo bad..
I had owned a second hand Punto a few years back. It was good, but not as good as a Maruti. The engine definitely lags behind. Maruti Baleno is a better car. Punto- not a driver's delight.
Wow ugly as shit xD I own the previous model with sport pack nice 17'' rims and some other things BUT even stock it is way more beautifull then this crap ....

From Gwalior to Udaipur to Jaipur
Done 3 lacs+kms and still going strong
Mileage is also awesome more good than swift
Our swift gives 25.2 kmpl max on highway and on same way our Evo gives 27.1 kmpl mileage
Ride quality handling superb all are superb
Our swift is worst sell in one year done max 1.56 lacs kms and engine blew up we sell it buy Evo On September 2014 after launch of EVO in Gwalior
i have a punto mk2a and this is an offence for me.. punto is becoming uglier year by year! and this one... i dont have words to describe this crap...
