Some filament types, like TPU or Nylon, absorb moisture. It's bad, because when the filament is heated up into the printer's nozzle, water evaporates, bubbles up, and negatively affects the final results. This is why some filament types have to be kept dry and dried from time to time. eSun eBox Lite acts as a filament box with an integrated drier.

I use the heatbed covered by a cardboard box to dry filament occasionally. Small holes on the side/bottom and top center create some convection where the moisted warm air can escape and fresh cold air comes in and dries by heating. Heatbed is pretty good heat controlled and amazon brings me free cardboard anyway 😂

@@religionisapoison2413 i don‘t know any filament for FDM printers that produce fumes. As you see some dry it in the oven. Resin printers have unhealthily fluids.

slickdeals has deal on a two rolls filament dryer from "comgrow" today and that video was a sign that I need one - it is a jungle down here in florida, even in winter I have 70% humidity inside. in the summer it's 50-60% as we get giant dehumidifiers with every house and apartment. outside is hard to breathe for the newbies.
and what's the humidity in northern home nowadays? my drybox with silica gel is 30%...
btw Paweł, did you ever research the peltier cell filament dryers?
