My story is similar, caring for my Mom while in a divorce. I stumbled upon this artform, and I found I'm pretty darn good at it. I'm thinking if it wasn't for those things, I would have never found I could. I love how kind you are while you paint... Thanks for that
I love the painting! I don't care for the music only. I enjoy hearing you speak about the painting, from start to finish. I look forward to your next project!
I totally love this open cup pour painting. I believe the lines you added in the negative space really makes it come alive! Happy hugs ~Cheryl and Mark
I did my first pour a few days ago and I was soooo happy. I had some bed risers that I had never used in my garage to sit my canvas on...they worked lime a charm. I'm loving this.
so cool . I am now so addcited to open up pours .. I feel it lets the paint create and we finish it off. And you are the queen of the pebbles/boulder cells ...
How lovely! I've run out of canvases & repainting some I'm not thrilled with, but I'm about to start hitting garage sales to look for tables to paint. 😉 I'm addicted to pour painting because of videos like yours! I finally made something other people like! I never got anything higher than a "pity" C in art in school growing up & o have found something I'm good at. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me!
J is Scoobysmom oh that’s wonderful! I’m so happy to have inspired you ! Just be sure to prime canvases that have already been painted in. I learned the hard way...after 7 months paint from old pour started to bleed through. Ruined a couple of beautiful pieces. ❤️good luck on your yard sale finds! I’m certain everything will turn out beautiful 💕
@@SarahMackArt I also use already painted canvases if I didn't like the result. Thanks for the tip of priming them beforehand. Could you please explain exactly how this primer should be done? I would be very grateful!
Another exceptionally beautiful pour. Had I seen this a year ago I might have purchased it. Now I only dream of the day that I can be have the artist that you are.
I stumbled onto your channel and cannot believe my eyes. Where have you been hiding? Omg I love this. I also have a channel and appreciate your videos. ❤❤❤
Hi Sarah, I am just another fan of your imaginative, creations. Negative space, is a big thing for me, as acrylic pouring, can get quite busy, oncevit fills the canvas altogether. Could you remember, what size this canvas was, by any chance? For my next painting, a Tryptich, it is a toss up between trying this one or your latest: Oct 2020 Neuteal Open Cup Technique with metall7c gold accents/ acrylic pour/fluid art. Kindest regards, to my "Inspuration, Sarah". Vinnie
That decoart 24kt gold iis over powering I have found with open cup pour. Just a 1/4 of what you normally pour compared to other colors seems to work for me. Just sharing
Hi Sarah , have been watching your Chanel for several weeks! ( Hate any sentence including Several ) but it's true! Love that you're not using silicone! Wearing your cardigan I totally get you but mine always come out as if they were paint splashed and not in a good way. Love your videos . Would like if possible you would look at some of my work? I'm more of an abstract painter but love all and everything to do with pouring! I often experiment with my abstract paintings with pouring techniques. Keep on doing what you do because you are phenomenal!!!
Hi carol I’d be more than happy to take a look at your work. Are you here on TH-cam? Instagram or Facebook? We can connect through those. Thank you for the compliment 💕
This work is very interesting.Do you arrange the colors in the cup according to certain criteria? Or is there no particular order? thank you for your answer....greetings Liane
Beautiful !!! 🎨❤ I see in your feedback that the base coat has to be very thin. But is it only water you use for this base coat? No floetrol or other? Thank youuuu !!! 🤞☺
So the white is far thinner than the other colours? How much water do you use and do you think the water needs to be distilled? I notice some artists use distilled water
Is it necessary to use so much paint? I know it has to have enough for gravity to pull it in all directions but it seems an excessive amount of paint. All the videos I watch do the same.

Beautiful painting Sarah. I don’t know anything about doing an open chip but I want to try it this week. It looks like all the paints are pretty thin, yes? Or just the base color?
@@SarahMackArt Wow. Thank you so much for the answer, I just started doing pour paint with my daughter, for fun, because she's a little TH-cam junkie and wanted to try it. Fabulous. I liked how you held it all in and then just lifted. I'm gonna try that one next. Great usage of the negative space too.

You must use the decoart extreme sheen paint for those cells

So, when you use the open cup method, is the pain kind of going "under" the white{or whatever base color you put down first}, to make a marble affect?
Yes! 😊
@@SarahMackArt I have a printed on canvas of a New York skyline...if I painted it with house paint, then, did a pour like this w/ an open cup, would that work?
I love this, how did you get the wonderful cells?
Same question too, i put kilos of silicone and don't get half as huge one....ahhh, cheers
Bam Mcguee the cells are made by the 24 k gold by decoart
Which cell activator did you use in this poor?
Eva Mooney I don’t use one it’s the paint (extreme sheen paints by decoart)
@@SarahMackArt Oh OK. Thanks anyway
Awesome!!!!
Beautiful painting Sarah. I don’t know anything about doing an open chip but I want to try it this week. It looks like all the paints are pretty thin, yes? Or just the base color?
Just the base really. Paints at regular thickness
Wow! That was fast. Lol. Thank you
No problem!! 😊😊
Is it possible to omit the torching?
Hi
Im struggling with consistency
How much water please x
Base needs to be thin. It should run right off of stir stick and disappear in the cup of paint. The other colors not need to be Same consistency
Okay, but what did you do to the paint to make it pop out like that in the beginning? Silicone? Or what? ♡
No I do not use silicone. It’s actually the type of gold paint I use that creates the effect
