Love the still. I just wish the open cup pours looked like that at the end as well. Hahaha. The cells at the beginning before the tilt are always so amazing.

Just found your channel, looking to start doing this art form as a total novice for a hobby & watching this gives me hope to create some beautiful art work. Your work is absolutely gorgeous
Thank you so much, Missy. I'm so glad you found my channel. I try to make videos with beginners in mind. We all start out not knowing what we are doing. I'm self taught and then i attended some classes taught by some of my favorite artists. You're going to love this art form. Just keep in mind things are easy to master. Some days you're gonna create some great stuff. Some days, you're gonna want to pull your hair out. LOL
Brian I love this! The colors are beautiful! Thank you for your inspiration today! I’m going to give it a try with black background and a few reds and white! I’m excited to see what happens! ✌️🌻
Wow! Awesome cells 😍 I haven’t used the open cup technique more than once or twice. So I’m definitely going to try this. I also love the Arteza Pearls. My favorite is Pearl Pink Tulip. It’s kind of a sunset color and dries beautifully! So glad I found your video 😁
Thank you so much. Yes, in fluid art, you want all your paints to be as close as possible in a pour. If your paints are different consistencies then your paint is going to tilt in an uneven movement.
This is absolutely amazingly gorgeous!!! Absolutely LOVE it!!! Sorry I haven’t been commenting, trying to get caught up!! I’ve been in a funk since I lost my mom!! Trying to make a come back!!
Hi Brian beautiful job love ❤️😘 the colors and composition 👍 👏! Could you tell me your ratios for your paints and pm? I'm using the same paints and ingredients and not get to ng this reaction. Thank you for your Help! 😊
Sure thing. I used 1 oz of gloss medium to 3oz paint and about 3 oz of Floetrol. Then I added more paint to get the color back to the original since Floetrol drastically lightens up the paint color. Then I added a little water to get the then consistency. When I pull my stick out of the paint, it runs off the stick and sinks right back into itself. Barely makes a mound.
This is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful composition and I love the colours very much. I'm new to fluid art but hope to try this technique on a large canvas one day. May I ask, once your painting is touch dry, how long do you leave it before varnishing?
thank you Kathy. I tilted enough off that i wasn't worried too much. It dried great. I'm going to put a clear coat on it and i'll show it in my video tomorrow. :)
Composition & colors are gorgeous!! Cells are amazing & a mystery to me! I don't understand HOW you got those cells??! Just thinner paints? No way. Must be more to it than that!? I have so much trouble getting any cells! Please...what made those cells like that?!?!?
Honestly there is nothing special in my paint. The paints are a little thinner than normal. Also with an open cup pour, you’re going to get cells whether u want them or not. Cells are formed because of how the paint is applied. Each color is being forced down below the previous color. The paint density and churning of the paints make the cells. Also, using metallic paints will get ya cells too. 😄😄
Hi Brian You are absolutely right, this is just so gorgeous. I just found you, so my I ask? How did you mix your paint’s? Thank you so much in advance.
Love this painting ! I have been struggling to get my open cup galaxy pour to have to right consistency. Can you share your paint : pouring medium : water ratio’s please . Your paintings all are awesome
I tend to keep my paints on the thin side with an open cup pour. I start off with 2 oz of gloss medium, 5 oz of paint and then i add water to thin it down to the consistency just thicker than a dutch pour.
Love the still. I just wish the open cup pours looked like that at the end as well. Hahaha. The cells at the beginning before the tilt are always so amazing.
Thanks Windi 😊😊😊
Love it : my " man !! Those colors are : sharp !! "😀🤩🤗😍

Open cup is one of my favorites. You gave me some great ideas. Is all your paints the same consistency including the black?
Thank you so much. Yes, in fluid art, you want all your paints to be as close as possible in a pour. If your paints are different consistencies then your paint is going to tilt in an uneven movement.

Thank you so much. I wait 1-2 weeks before I varnish.
@@Studio15Acrylics Thank you.
I absolutely love it. Do you worry about leaving too much paint on the canvas with all the extra you put on?
thank you Kathy. I tilted enough off that i wasn't worried too much. It dried great. I'm going to put a clear coat on it and i'll show it in my video tomorrow. :)
One of the prettiest ones I've seen! Did you say the thin paint caused cells? I'm a newbie.
thank you :). The think paint but also the technique causes cells.
It's very good
Beautiful
Com and see me in there days
Mesmerizing. Love the 3D effect. On the first cup, the distance from the pour was higher. Does this mix the colors together a little?
Yes it does a little but what it does is uses gravity to push the paints out from under the colors
Thanks!@@Studio15Acrylics
Loved this video. For your pouring medium, what is the ratio for floetrol/liquitex? Thank you for sharing this video!!
Thank you so much 😀. I mix 2 oz of gloss medium, 3 oz of paint, 4-5 oz of floetrol and then water to thin if necessary.

Hi Brian

2:1 Pouring medium to paint, 3-4 parts Floetrol and water for consistency.

Brian, are you using Ausie Floetrol or US Flood Floetrol? This is beautiful!
Thank u. This is American Floetrol, paint and water.
