Great info for Newbie AL creators. I love to be organized, and you point out how helpful that is before beginning the Labor Pains of birthing an AL. My new AL got three quick hits, and no complaints from my fellow Adventurers.

@@BehindtheCache I have a few questions if you don't mind me asking... Do the locations have to be a certain distance from each other? Can they be miles apart? I was only able to find info that says locations do not have to be a certain distance away from a cache but nothing stating about the distance between locations. The locations that I have in mind are miles apart from each other but still able to do under two hours, geocachers will have to drive to each one thou...
@@HeresToYourHealth100 no they can be some distance between them. It really is up to you. There is about a 20 min drive between two locations on my Elvis one. I have heard some that you may have to drive a lot. They say 2 hours to help get more people to the Adventure and not be discouraged not to complete it.
Great idea for a tutorial. I'm more of a visual learner so videos are great for me. My stumbling block in the Adventure Lab process was figuring out how to run the adventure in 'test mode.'
Great info Brudda. I just discovered AL from my sister and brudda in law. They are hardcore Cachers. We are going to Ukraine and would love to build Adventure Labs for the historical locations and places of interest. Thank you for sharing.

I'm guessing I'm going to run into some issues with the coffee shops' logos...I have a question into Geocaching HQ to see what they say, but thought I'd ask you as well :)
The coffee ships maybe ok with it. Are they local coffee shops or national chains? I hope HQ gets back with you but I know they have been really busy lately.

What does it mean by permission from land manager? I know about peoples homes and putting caches out. How does the bonus cache work at the end of the adventure cache? Also getting permission for logos, how does that work and can you give me an example of how to do that?
So getting the Land Owners Permission. So if you are doing your AL and it is on Private Property you need to get their permission. the reason why is that they may not want non-customers coming on the property. I placed mine on public property so that I didn't have to worry about that. The Bonus Cache - This is generally a Mystery cache that you get clues in the AL as you solve it. So the only way that you can find it is by completing the AL. So if you are wanting to use a logo in AL that is from a business that is a Trademark then you need to submit to use their logo in your AL. With the logo you would have to find out who owns the rights to it and contact them and ask. The easiest way is not to use any graphics or pictures that someone else owns. Take your own. I hope this helps.
I have an adventure lab too. Under pressure to get my 10 stages published before may. I might try and go out tomorrow to do some research. How would you incorporate a bonus cache into the adventure
Hi Derick I have watched your you tub videos on building a lab cache. I hope that you can help me. I am tying to download the adventure lab app onto my hp computer. I am having no luck at all.
The app to find them is only available for smart devices. The only thing you can do on the computer is the builder and you can only access that if you have been awarded a credit from HQ.

I understand that the adventure lab cache has no physical containers to find. But can a location also be a completely separate cache, owned by me or someone else.
Nick Noble yes because there is no proximity. So if there is a cache already there you don’t have to worry. The physical cache can not be part of the lab itself.

You could have different numbers in the journal that would represent the cords for the bonus.

What if there is already a cache near one of your Adventure Lab sites/stops? Does that mean you can't use that area in your Adventure Lab?
There is no proximity rule. So you can have the same spot no have even seen 2 adventure labs share the same location.

It is there to protect you and Geocaching. Some businesses and people are very particular with their logos.

Brent Smith aka Simrebel a lot of times we over think it. But also starting is sometimes the hardest thing.
