Hi I advise you to use a 100% wool thread. If your doll's head is small then it would be better to use a thinner "LACE or SUPER FINE" wool thread. However I recommend that you do it with 100% wool yarn if you get the same result. You could also do with the "cotton" thread, but you can the silly hair will LOSE the wavy effect very quickly. In that case, you can try drying it with a hairdryer. You can also spray water instead of dipping the wooden hair sticks in water. Try it ;)
